I n t r o
Desarrollado en colaboración con Distrito Qro, Reminiscencia surge como una reflexión espacial en torno al fenómeno de la Inequality, entendida no solo como una condición económica, sino como una manifestación urbana que influye en la calidad de vida, el acceso al espacio público y las opor tunidades de encuentro entre generaciones.
El proyecto nace con el propósito de visibilizar a un sector que durante décadas constituyó la fuer za obrera industrial de l a ciudad y que hoy forma par te de la población adulta mayor, sus historias, esfuer zos y contribuciones permanecen como una memoria colectiva que merece reconocimiento dentro del paisaje urbano.
En esencia, Reminiscencia aspira a conver tirse en un refugio urbano para todos: un espacio donde la comunidad local y la población transitoria puedan encontrar descanso, convivencia y bienestar. Un oasis de encuentro humano en medio de la jungla de concreto, donde la memoria, la recreación y la inclusión convergen para construir una ciudad más equitativa.

La desigualdad en México afecta la calidad de vida debido al acceso desigual a educación, empleo, nutrición y opor tunidades económicas. Estas disparidades varían según las regiones e influyen en los patrones migratorios, ya que muchas personas se desplazan en busca de mejores condiciones de vida.
Dado que la desigualdad se manifiesta de manera diferente en cada territorio, comprender las condiciones regionales es fundamental. Las iniciativas locales adaptadas a cada territorio, en par ticular aquellas centradas en planificación urbana, infraestructura y ser vicios, pueden contribuir a abordar estas disparidades de manera más eficaz, como se obser va en proyectos como DistritoQRO en Querétaro.

Environmental exposure refers to the contact individuals have with physical, chemical, biological, and radiological contaminants in their surroundings, which can significantly impact human health.

De acuerdo al análisis previo, el enfoque el proyecto se inclina hacia el sector demográfico más vulnerable, en donde Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) nos da un indicador que alrededor del 66% del total de la población de tercera edad son quienes sufren en su mayoría el olvido de sus familiares e, incluso, de sus hijos, quienes a pesar de tener una buena condición económica no ayudan a sus padres.
Otra problemática que están detectando las autoridades municipales es la falta de espacios en lo que llaman las casas-hogar (asilos) para los adultos mayores, por ello, no todos cuentan con una atención profesional y acorde a sus necesidades.

Durante 1975 cuando nuestra población mayor actual tenía alrededor de 3040 años, el corredor industrial de Av. 5 de febrero estaba en su máximo esplendor, en donde igualmente sector foraneo venían desde ciudad de méxico o guanajuato hasta Queretaro para trabajar y futuramente construir un patrimonio familiar aquí
Fabricas como UNIROYAL ® , TREMEC® , pilgrims ® , Clemente Jacques®, Aga® y Gerber ® formaban par te de este ecosistema industrial y eran los empleadores principales de lo ahora llamamos DistritoQro.

De acuerdo con los sensos y las noticias diarias de queretaro, queda asegurado que el sector demografico de la t ercera edad pronto triplicara sus cifras, mostrandonos un nuevo panorama de usuarios pensando hacia e l futuro.

Actualmente, después de años de arduo trabajo como obreros industriales el sector igualmente se siguió manteniendo del mismo ecosistema industrial, la mayoría de la demografía esperando cumplir la edad adecuada para ser catalogados como personas de tercera edad y comenzar a recibir la pensión correspondiente después de los años de trabajo.
Sin embargo las fabricas no se quedaron sin personal, al contrario, fueron ahora los hijos o nietos de los pasados trabajadores quien continuaron el legado, ahora acentuando la participación laboral femenina en la entidad, con un total de 49.5% , dejando por debajo de la de los hombres.

Si bien distritoQRo se piensa como una pieza que artícula la innovación de la juventud para crear una mejor ciudad, teniendo noticias previas de nuestro futuro el proyecto decide enfocarse en los 2 sectores demograficos más sensibles, las infancias y los adultos mayores.

Este mapa muestra principalmente los diferentes tipos de vías que rodean el proyecto, en donde existen dos vías principales cercanas (Blvd. Bernardo Quintana y Av. 5 de Febrero) y dos vías secundarias (Epigmenio González y Prol. Tecnológico). La presencia de estas vías principales y de tránsito hace que nuestro proyecto sea muy accesible. El resto de las vías son de conexión y facilitan los desplazamientos entre los distintos puntos dentro del emplazamiento de Distritoqro.
This map mainly shows the different types of roads that surround the project site. There are 2 nearby primar y roads (Blvd. Bernardo quintana and Av. 5 de Febrero) . 2 secondar y roads (Epigmenio González and Prol. Tecnológico). The presence of such transitated and primar y roads makes our site a ver y accesible point The rest of the roads are connecting roads that facilitate commutes between points inside the Distritoqro site.

Este mapa muestra las paradas de transpor te público, lo que indica la accesibilidad real del lugar para toda la población, no solo para vehículos privados. También muestra puntos de percepción de inseguridad en la zona, que responden a otros factores también mostrados en el mapa, como zonas contaminadas y áreas propensas a inundaciones Esta combinación de condiciones, sumada a la falta de alumbrado público y muros ciegos, es lo que genera esta inactividad y una sensación de inseguridad. Este proyecto busca solucionar o, al menos, mejorar estas condiciones para reactivar públicamente la zona.
This map shows public transpor t stops which indicates how accesible the site really is for all population, not only private vehicles. It also shows insecurity perception points in the area that respond to other factors also shown in the map, such as contaminantion spots and prone to flooding areas. This combination of conditions in addition to [lack of] public lighting and blind walls, is what creates this inactivity and a sense of insecurity. This projects aims to solve or at least better these conditions to publicly reactivate the area.
La mayoría de los trabajadores de Gerber son mujeres, quienes en su mayoría son el sustento de sus familias y necesitan un lugar donde dejar a sus hijos.

En la evaluación participativa del vecindario, realizada en las comunidades circundantes, los residentes confirmaron haber trabajado en las fábricas o que sus padres trabajaron allí.

Urdido es un espacio de oficinas y comercial que utiliza la vegetación para delimitar caminos además de crear una barrera física y visual entre los distintos espacios de trabajo dentro del proyecto. Esto permite crear privacidad, conexión con la naturaleza, al igual que una sensación de seguridad, tranquilidad y paz.
Urdido is an office and commercial space that uses vegetation to define paths as well as to create a physical and visual barrier between the different workspaces within the project. This allows for creating privacy, connection with nature, as well as a sense of security, tranquility, and peace.

Casa O es una residencia que pone como foco la naturaleza ya que el nodo principal del proyecto es un árbol, esta residencia también utiliza la vegetación para delimitar y separar distintos espacios como los cuartos secundarios, la cocina y el cuarto principal.

Es un proyecto donde la sostenibilidad es un punto clave en el diseño, con sistemas de recolección de agua pluvial, energía solar, tratamiento de aguas y enfriamiento pasivo. En este proyecto se reimaginan los cuidados paliativos como una experiencia profundamente humana y curativa, en la que la arquitectura se convierte en un vehículo para la dignidad, el cuidado y la paz.
This project prioritizes sustainability in its design, incorporating rainwater harvesting, solar energy, water treatment, and passive cooling systems. It reimagines palliative care as a profoundly human and healing experience, where architecture becomes a vehicle for dignity, care, and peace.
