DIAGNÓSTICO TERRITORIAL

TERRITORIAL DIAGNOSIS

Se realizó una investigación para poder determinar conclusiones dentro de la zona del proyecto y se dividió en tres temas principales:

● Movilidad (calles, transporte, banquetas, vegetación, iluminación y basura). ● Legibilidad (basura, actores, fachadas ciegas, tags y graffiti) ● Usos y vocaciones de la zona.

Es relevante intervenir aquí ya que se observó la necesidad de áreas recreativas y naturales, así como una falta de espacios de recreación efectivos ya que actualmente se está volviendo una zona residual, y a su vez la cañada tiene un potencial histórico, cultural que se tiene que resaltar.

Existen riesgos de inundaciones durante las crecidas del río y por la contaminación, que la mayor parte de esta está presente en la zona de la presa. También hay presencia de grupos vulnerables que se han establecido en las laderas del cerro. También tenemos esta obstrucción vegetal dentro del cauce Las vías del tren representan un espacio inseguro para los habitantes. No cuenta con el equipamiento urbano adecuado, no hay banquetas, o es el caso que hay banquetas pero estan pequeñas y ya están invadidas por vegetación o tienen obstrucción a su paso. An investigation was conducted to determine conclusions within the project area and was divides into three main topics:

● Mobility (streets, transportation, sidewalks, vegetation, lighting and garbage). ● Readability ( garbage, actors, blind facades, tags and graffiti) ● Uses and vocations in the area.

It's relevant to intervene here since we observed the need for recreational and natural areas, as well as a lack of effective recreational spaces since it is currently becoming a residual area, and in turn the ravine has a historical and cultural potential that must be highlight.

There are risk of flooding during river floods and due to contamination, most of which is present in the area of the dam. There is also the presence of vulnerable groups that have settled on the slopes of the hill. We also have this vegetal obstruction within the riverbed. The train tracks represent an unsafe space for the inhabitant. It does not have the adequate urban equipment, there are no sidewalks, or it is the case that there are sidewalks but they are small and are already invaded by vegetation or have obstructions in their path.

Río arriba, la calidad de visuales hacia el río son nulas, ya que, es el tramo donde el río está encauzado y donde existen principalmente fachadas ciegas hacia el río. Las vialidades paralelas al río son de doble sentido, con banquetas en mal estado o sin banquetas, existen vacíos y baldíos, así como vivienda de uno o dos niveles principalmente. En la sección de La Presa del Diablo, cambia el nivel del agua dependiendo la estación del año pero es el tramo donde el caudal es más constante, existe un acceso hacia la vialidad de la izquierda gracias a la escuela. La pendiente en este tramo deja de ser tan pronunciada, las visuales hacia la vialidad del Ferrocarril y la Presa son posibles ya que no existe mucha vegetación pero actualmente funge como tiradero. MOVILIDAD

Existen dos calles adyacentes al río (avenida del río y de la presa). Río abajo es una vialidad secundaria de asfalto y río arriba es de menor tránsito y es empedrada. El río actúa como borde, sin presencia de cruces seguros para el peatón entre el centro de la Cañada, la presa y el tren. No es un lugar destino la Presa, no hay paradas de camión y las paradas que hay priorizan las escuelas. Asimismo existe una falta de iluminación principalmente en el tramo de la presa y del lado derecho del río. Finalmente su topografía accidentada funge como una característica única de La Cañada y a su vez genera un borde natural entre cerros pero con un cauce marcado y natural del río. En estos cortes podemos observar las características particulares de cada tramo.

LEGIBILIDAD

Aquí se observan las fachadas abiertas al río, las ciegas y las que tienen graffiti. La mayor parte del tramo presenta vegetación, sobre todo al lado del río, los terrenos baldíos y la cancha de fútbol son los que no presentan vegetación. Aquí se identifican los puntos de acumulación de basura, desagüe y recolección de basura. Aquí mapeamos a los actores presentes y posibles aliados.

USOS Y VOCACIONES

Las vocaciones de la zona principalmente son de vivienda y educación, sin embargo resalta el uso recreativo de salones de fiesta a lo largo del tramo y de comercio informal en el tramo de la presa.

MOBILITY

There are two streets adjacent to the river ( river avenue and dam ) Downstream is a secondary asphalt road and upstream is less trafficked and paved. The river acts as a border, without the presence of safe crossing for pedestrians between the center of the Cañada, th dam and the train. The dam is not a destination, there are no bus stops and the stops that are there prioritize the schools. There is also a lack of lighting mainly in the section of the dam and on the right side of the river. Finally , its rugged topography serves as a unique feature of La Cañada and in turn generates a natural border between hills but with a marked and natural river bed. In these cuts we can observe the particular characteristics of each section.

READABILITY

Here you can observe the facades open to the river, the blind ones and those with graffiti. Most of the section presents vegetation, especially next to the river, the vacant lots and the soccer field, are those that do not present vegetation. Here the points of garbage accumulation, drainage and garbage collection are identified. Here we map the actors present and possible allies..

USES AND VOCATIONS

The vocations in the area are mainly housing and education, however the recreational use of party rooms along the stretch and informal commerce in the stretch of the dam stands out.

A lo largo del río no hay presencia de infraestructura adecuada para conectar las calles principales transversalmente, no es accesible para el peatón ni para el automovilista, pero existe potencial de conexión entre la Av. del Ferrocarril y Av. De La Presa.

El río funge como basurero, con descargas directas al río, pero también los baldíos entre la presa y la vía del tren están con basura, escombros y generan espacios residuales. Existe un porcentaje parejo entre las fachadas ciegas y abiertas hacia el río pero las ciegas son las menos iluminadas y vandalizadas. The river serves as a garbage dump, with direct discharges to the river, but also the vacant lots between the dam and the train track are filled with garbage, debris and generate residual spaces. There is an even percentage between the blind and open facades towards the river, but the blind ones are the least illuminated and vandalized.

Las vocaciones de la zona principalmente son de vivienda y educación, sin embargo resalta el uso recreativo de salones de fiesta a lo largo del tramo y de comercio informal en el tramo de la presa.

El diagnóstico nos lleva a 3 conclusiones principales:

● Hace falta conectar transversalmente el tramo de la

presa.

● Los tramos con menos equipamiento son transitados

peatonalmente y a su vez son los más llenos de basura.

● La conexión comunidad-presa está fragmentada al no

contar con accesibilidad apropiada, sin embargo, sí es

un punto de flujo para el habitante.

● Se reconoce como un lugar de basura y de connotación

negativa.

● La conexión vehicular prioriza la zona del centro de la

Cañada y existen baldíos que pueden ser aprovechados

para la conexión transversal del río.

The diagnosis leads us to 3 main conclusions:

● It is necessary to cross-connect the section of the dam.

● The section with less equipment are pedestrian trafficked and in

turn are the most full of garbage

● The community- dam connection is fragmented as it does not

have appropriate accessibility,however, it is a point of flow for the

inhabitant.

● It is a recognized as a place of garbage and of negative

connotation.

● The vehicular connection prioritizes the area of the center of the

Cañada and there are vacant lots that can be used for the

transversal connection of the river.

PROBLEMAS RAÍZ

Las problemáticas de nuestro sitio son muy complejas, por lo que nos enfocamos en abordarlo a partir de dos problemas raíz, cuyas consecuencias atienden otros a partir de esta perspectiva de la planeación urbana y ecosistema dañado.

Y esto se conecta a nuestras premisas como una primera aproximación de solución.

The problems of our site are very complex, so we focus on addressing it from two root problems, the consequences of which are addressed by others from this perspective of urban planning and damaged ecosystem.
