¿Por qué hablar este tema?

Las ciudades han sido partícipe de la desigualdad desde su configuración.

Es difícil empezar a ver los espacios públicos con perspectiva de género, porque se cree que el urbanismo es neutro pero no es así. En la mayoría de las ocasiones, las mujeres se sienten amenazadas dentro del espacio público por las condiciones del diseño, esto no ha sido tomado en cuenta porque en su mayoría quienes diseñan las ciudades son hombres.

La experiencia urbana cotidiana está profundamente marcada por el género, siendo la identidad la que determina cómo moverse por la ciudad y cuáles son las opciones disponibles, por lo tanto la movilidad de las mujeres no solo depende de la infraestructura disponible, a esto se le suma el factor de inseguridad que puedan causar zonas específicas de las ciudades.

Esta situación ocasiona que las mujeres limiten su movilidad, y se vean obligadas a cambiar las rutas diarias, disminuyan o eviten actividades laborales, educativas, sociales, de entretenimiento, y hasta se vean obligadas a cambiar su vestimenta con el único objetivo de protegerse de la inseguridad.

Como resultado, las mujeres se autoexcluyen de las ciudades buscando sentirse seguras.

Intuitivamente se entiende el mensaje de la ciudad: “Este lugar no es para ti”

Why talk about this?

Cities have been participants in inequality since its configuration.

It is difficult to begin to see public spaces with a gender perspective, because urbanism is believed to be neutral but it is not. The daily urban experience is deeply marked by gender, being identity the one that determines how to move around the city and what are the available options, therefore the mobility of women not only depends on the infrastructure available, to this is added the insecurity factor that specific areas of cities may cause.

This situation causes women to limit their mobility, and are forced to change daily routes, reduce or avoid work, educational, social, entertainment activities, and are even forced to change their clothing with the sole objective of protecting themselves from the unsafety.

As a result, women exclude themselves from cities seeking to feel safe.

Intuitively the message of the city is understood: “This place is not for you”

Las ciudades son sexistas La ciudad está llena de recordatorios del poder masculino, sin embargo, rara vez hablamos del paisaje urbano como un participante activo en la desigualdad de género. Es difícil empezar a ver los espacios públicos con una perspectiva de género porque se cree que el espacio público es “Neutro” pero no es así. The city is full of reminders of male power, yet we rarely speak of the urban landscape as an active participant in gender inequality. It is difficult to begin to see public spaces with a gender perspective because it is believed that public space is “Neutral” but it is not. In other words, cities reflect the norms of the societies that build them. And sexism is a deeply ingrained norm.

La teoría de las esferas Las teorías sobre la dicotomía público y privado comienzan a configurarse en los años 60 en un contexto norteamericano de intensa transformación social. Un proceso de cambios dados por el crecimiento económico y demográfico. (Peyrou, 2019) Se divide en público y privado, dos esperas que hacen una separación de roles y de género.

En primer lugar, se entendía al espacio público únicamente como un espacio de práctica de la ciudadanía, la deliberación, la toma de decisiones. Ese medio donde se lleva a cabo todo lo que transcurre fuera del hogar, las relaciones ajenas al parentesco. Mientras tanto, por “lo privado” se hacía referencia al espacio doméstico y de cuidado, habitado por mujeres y niños. (Peyrou, Florencia. 2019) De esta manera, la ciudad ha sido diseñada a partir de los valores del patriarcado, pues eran los hombres los proveedores y, por lo tanto, los que debían salir de la casa. Sin embargo, se ha observado a través de los años que el hogar es un espacio de actividades que requieren tiempo y energía para el cuidado de los integrantes y de ninguna manera es menos importante. Al contrario, el sustento de esta labor ha hecho posible el desarrollo social y el crecimiento económico. (Peyrou, Florencia. 2019)

Theories about the public and private dichotomy began to take shape in the 1960s in a North American context of intense social transformation. A process of changes given by economic and demographic growth. (Peyrou, 2019) It is divided into public and private, two expectations that separate roles and gender.

In the first place, the public space was understood only as a space for citizen practice, deliberation, decision-making. That environment where everything that happens outside the home takes place, relationships outside of kinship. Meanwhile, “the private” referred to the domestic and care space, inhabited by women and children. (Peyrou, Florence.

2019) In this way, the city has been designed based on the values ​​of patriarchy, since men were the providers and, therefore, those who had to leave the house. However, it has been observed over the years that the home is a space for activities that require time and energy for the care of the members and is by no means less important. On the contrary, the sustenance of this work has made possible social development and economic growth.

Ciudades de nadie El diseño desde la neutralidad

Generar espacios neutros da pauta a una estandarización. Una homogeneización que no permite el desarrollo completo de la humanidad. El diseño a partir del concepto universal niega completamente la inclusión, pues es neutralizante, se contrapone a la aceptación de la multiplicidad. Propiciando espacios que de ninguna manera nos representan a todos.

Habla de una intolerancia y desaprobación de la diversidad. Discriminando prácticamente a cualquiera. (Bilbao, Tatiana. 2021. a través de Facultad de Arquitectura UNAM) En cambio, crear espacios desde la perspectiva de las mujeres es crear espacios inclusivos, con la finalidad de erradicar las desigualdades y romper con los estereotipos de género.

Generating neutral spaces leads to standardization. A homogenization that does not allow the full development of humanity. The design based on the universal concept completely denies inclusion, since it is neutralizing, it is opposed to the acceptance of multiplicity.

Promoting spaces that in no way represent us all. It speaks of an intolerance and disapproval of diversity. Discriminating against practically anyone. Las ciudades feministas La importancia de la visión de las mujeres

El urbanismo feminista incorpora la diversidad de experiencias de las personas y considera que estas experiencias y necesidades son esenciales para introducir en cualquier proceso y proyecto urbanístico.

En el camino a crear ciudades más inclusivas se busca repensar los espacios, buscando erradicar las desigualdades y romper con los estereotipos de género.

El urbanismo desde la perspectiva femenina busca poner la vida de las personas en el centro de las decisiones urbanas, para crear ciudades verdaderamente inclusivas.

Interseccionalidad Un mundo de desventajas

La interseccionalidad es un fenómeno que indica la manera en que las discriminaciones se cruzan, generando condiciones cada vez más específicas de desventaja. Es decir, surgen identidades coexistentes relacionadas no sólo con el género, también respecto a etnia, edad, raza, orientación sexual, etc. Tiene su origen en un sistema conectado de opresión cómo el racismo, el status económico, el patriarcado, el sexismo, todos prejuicios o conceptos basados en la intolerancia. (Hernández Aniol. 2018) Resulta evidente que las mujeres no son el sector más vulnerable, pues no representan a un grupo homogéneo igualmente posicionado por las estructuras de poder.(Davis, Angela.

2019) Existe una necesidad urgente por definir un urbanismo justo y no solo de género. Construir espacios y ciudades con las mujeres, desde la esencia humana y no desde su condición de género, raza o preferencia sexual. (Davis, Angela. 2019) Dándoles voz a través de la participación, para ejercer sus derechos y no solo el privilegio de algunas.

Intersectionality A world of disadvantages

Intersectionality is a phenomenon that indicates the way in which discriminations intersect, generating increasingly specific conditions of disadvantage. That is to say, coexisting identities arise related not only to gender, but also to ethnicity, age, race, sexual orientation, etc. It has its origin in a connected system of oppression such as racism, economic status, patriarchy, sexism, all prejudices or concepts based on intolerance.

(Hernández Aniol. 2018) It is clear that women are not the most vulnerable sector, since they do not represent a homogeneous group equally positioned by power structures (Davis, Angela. 2019) There is an urgent need to define a just urbanism and not only of gender. Build spaces and cities with women, from the human essence and not from their gender, race or sexual preference. (Davis, Angela. 2019) Giving them a voice through participation, to exercise their rights and not just the privilege of some.

Ciudad de 15 minutos Las ciudades de cercanía hacen referencia a poder realizar las actividades indispensables dentro de un radio donde no se tome más de 15 minutos para poder llegar al destino.

La configuración de la ciudad tiene una importancia fundamental en la vida de las personas dedicadas a las actividades de cuidado. Las múltiples actividades que deben de realizar a diario las mantiene movilizándose a distintos puntos de la ciudad o de su barrio, por lo tanto, cuando la distancia es un factor negativamente importante, la rutina diaria suele duplicarse en tiempo y esfuerzo.

Una ciudad cercana proporciona diversidad de usos en un radio caminable de 1.5 kilómetros, lo que sin duda, permite a las mujeres moverse y realizar sus actividades con facilidad en un menor tiempo.

La ciudad de 15 minutos propicia una igualdad de oportunidades en el acceso a la ciudad.

The nearby cities refer to being able to carry out the essential activities within a radius where it does not take more than 15 minutes to reach the destination.

The configuration of the city is of fundamental importance in the lives of people engaged in care activities. The multiple activities that they must carry out on a daily basis keep them moving to different parts of the city or their neighborhood, therefore, when distance is a negatively important factor, the daily routine tends to double in time and effort.

A nearby city provides a diversity of uses within a 1.5 kilometer walkable radius, which undoubtedly allows women to move and carry out their activities with ease in less time.

The 15-minute city provides equal opportunities in access to the city.

In our country violence towards women

In 2012, the G-20 ranked Mexico among the 5 worst countries to be a woman, sharing places with India, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Africa. (PERSEO, 2014) The ranking was made based on the position of women in each of the countries, generalized violence and impunity, participation in politics, job opportunities and access to education.

The recent wave of violence against women has shown how dangerous it is to be a woman in this country. According to INEGI, 2020 has been recorded as the most violent in the last 30 years, increasing its figures drastically since 2019, it is also indicated that both the street and public transport are the main spaces where these crimes occur.

Violence, Women, Mexico Violence in the Mexican streets is a reality. The problem needs immediate solutions, unfortunately little has been done to solve it. To this day, taking to the streets represents a challenge for the women of this country and it must urgently stop being so.

En nuestro país violencia hacia las mujeres

En 2012 G-20 clasificó a México dentro de los 5 peores países para ser mujer, compartiendo lugares con India, Arabia Saudita, Indonesia y África. (PERSEO, 2014) El ranking se realizó con base en la posición que ocupa la mujer en cada uno de los países, la violencia generalizada y la impunidad, la participación en la política, las oportunidades laborales y el acceso a la educación.

La reciente ola de violencia contra las mujeres, ha evidenciado lo peligroso que sigue siendo ser mujer en este país. Según INEGI, el 2020 ha sido registrado como el más violento de los últimos 30 años, incrementando sus cifras drásticamente desde el 2019, así mismo se indica que tanto la calle como el transporte público son los principales espacios donde ocurren estos delitos.

La violencia en las calles mexicanas es una realidad. El problema necesita soluciones inmediatas, lamentablemente poco se ha hecho para resolverlo. Al día de hoy, salir a las calles representa un reto para las mujeres de este país y urgentemente debe dejar de serlo.

Conmigo, no para mí Para poder desarrollar este proyecto desde una perspectiva de género fue necesario conocer la realidad del contexto, así como las personas que habitan el territorio.

Especialmente desde la perspectiva de mujeres diversas.

Conmigo, no para mi surge de la necesidad de una participación femenina activa. Este taller participativo presentado enseguida, pretende visibilizar la experiencia de las mujeres en las calles mexicanas, exponiendo lo distinto que es vivir la ciudad dependiendo el género y edad, principalmente.

Pretendiendo incluir a la mayoría, se identificaron dos grupos con características contrarias para realizar este taller. El primero está conformado por mujeres del barrio de Santa María Magdalena, Qro. Una comunidad ubicada en las periferias del municipio de Querétaro.

El segundo grupo, incluye a mujeres de diferentes edades y profesiones de la comunidad universitaria del Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Querétaro.

Sabemos que en esta sociedad interseccional, es importante escuchar a todas. Construir una ciudad a partir de la visión y participación. No para las mujeres, sino con ellas.

Es por eso que este proyecto tiene su corazón en las voces de quienes han sido invisibilizadas.

With me, not for me Para poder desarrollar este proyecto desde una perspectiva de género fue necesario conocer la realidad del contexto, así como las personas que habitan el territorio.

Especialmente desde la perspectiva de mujeres diversas.

Trying to include the majority, two groups with opposite characteristics were identified to carry out this workshop. The first is made up of women from the Santa María Magdalena neighborhood, Querétaro. A community located on the outskirts of the municipality of Querétaro. Talleres participativos Se realizaron tres talleres participativos que constan de diferentes técnicas:

1. Taller participativo grupal

Esta actividad se realizó mediante la plataforma de videollamadas Zoom. La convocatoria fue publicada para la comunidad TEC que vive/vivía en la zona cercana a la universidad, especialmente a aquellas mujeres que realizaban sus recorridos caminando.

2. Taller participativo individual

Esta actividad se realizó mediante la plataforma de videollamadas Zoom. De igual manera fue publicada para la comunidad TEC con las características mencionadas anteriormente.

Este taller se centró en analizar cómo se viven a través de nuestro cuerpo las emociones y manifestaciones físicas en relación a los entornos y espacios que habitamos.

3. Etnografía digital (WhatsApp)

Esta actividad se realizó mediante WhatsApp. La convocatoria fue publicada para el barrio de Santa María Magdalena, específicamente para mujeres diversas interesadas en el tema y en la seguridad de su barrio.

La finalidad de los talleres fue entender la experiencia y percepción de las mujeres en las calles.

Three participatory workshops were held that consist of different techniques: 1. Group participatory workshop This activity was carried out through the Zoom video calling platform. The call was published for the TEC community that lives / lived in the area near the university, especially those women who made their tours on foot.

2. Individual participatory workshop This activity was carried out through the Zoom video calling platform. In the same way, it was published for the TEC community with the characteristics mentioned above. This workshop focused on analyzing how emotions and physical manifestations are experienced through our body in relation to the environments and spaces we inhabit.

3. Digital ethnography (WhatsApp) This activity was carried out through WhatsApp. The call was published for the Santa María Magdalena neighborhood, specifically for diverse women interested in the issue and in the safety of their neighborhood.

The purpose of the workshops was to understand the experience and perception of women on the streets.

Taller participativo grupal ¿Qué es?

El taller participativo sirve para reconocer, discutir y reflexionar grupalmente acerca de nuestros recorridos, así como nuestro comportamiento en los mismos. Detectar elementos urbanos que propicien la percepción de inseguridad, así como preguntarse si esto ha condicionado el desarrollo de actividades y el uso de determinados espacios.

¿Cómo?

El taller grupal realizado con la comunidad TEC se realizarón dos actividades: 1. Identificar un recorrido familiar dibujando sobre un mapa de la zona de estudio e identificar qué elementos o espacios influyen en la percepción de seguridad. Al finalizar se discuten los recorridos de cada una en grupo.

2. Dibujar en una hoja lo que para cada quien representa una calle ideal.

Group participative workshop What is it?

The participative workshop serves to recognize, discuss and reflect as a group about our routes, as well as our behavior in them. Detecting urban elements that promote the perception of insecurity, as well as asking whether this has conditioned the development of activities and the use of certain spaces.

How? The group workshop carried out with the TEC community carried out two activities: 1. Identify a family tour by drawing on a map of the study area and identify which elements or spaces influence the perception of safety. At the end, the routes of each one are discussed as a group.

2. Draw on a sheet what an ideal street represents for each person.

Taller participativo individual ¿Qué es?

El taller participativo sirve para reconocer de qué manera la forma urbana afecta nuestro cuerpo.

Así mismo, permiten reflexionar sobre el hecho de que hombres y mujeres perciben diferente las sensaciones y manifestaciones físicas relacionadas a la percepción de inseguridad.

Este taller analiza cómo se viven a través de nuestro cuerpo los entornos y espacios que habitamos.

¿Cómo?

El taller individual realizado con la comunidad TEC se realizarón dos actividades: 1. Identificar un recorrido familiar dibujando sobre un mapa de la zona de estudio.

A este ejercicio se le suma la actividad de “shadowing” que corresponde al acompañamiento durante un recorrido. Esta actividad fue posible realizarla a través del recorrido virtual en la plataforma de Google Maps (Street view).

2. In a more personal way, in an adapted version of the Colectivo Punto 6 workshops, body maps were made. These allowed a deeper understanding of the experience of being a woman and walking in the streets.

Individual participative workshop What is it?

The participative workshop serves to recognize how the urban form affects our body Likewise, they allow us to reflect on the fact that men and women perceive different sensations and physical manifestations related to the perception of insecurity.

This workshop analyzes how the environments and spaces we inhabit are experienced through our bodies.

How? The individual workshop carried out with the TEC community included two activities: 1. Identify a family journey by drawing on a map of the study area.

To this exercise is added the activity of “shadowing” that corresponds to the accompaniment during a tour. This activity was possible through the virtual tour on the Google Maps platform (Street view).

2. In a more personal way, body maps were made. These allowed a deeper understanding of the experience of being a woman and walking in the streets.

A la par identificar los elementos fisicos o sociales que limitan o favorecen el uso de los espacios, identificando los tramos que dan miedo o representan dificultad para transitarlos.

3. Realizar actividad Mapa corporal de acuerdo al recorrido identificado. Responder las siguientes preguntas dibujando sobre la figura humana y comentando. ¿Cómo me afecta caminar por la calle?¿Cómo afecta la forma urbana a mi cuerpo? ¿Cómo siento en mi cuerpo la proximidad de alguien extraño? ¿Cuál es mi respuesta corporal al sentirme insegura? ¿Dónde me he sentido así? ¿Cómo vivo y percibo el miedo o la inseguridad en mi cuerpo? ¿Cómo y dónde siento fuerza en mi cuerpo?

3. Dibuja tu calle ideal ¿Qué es lo que debería tener esta calle? ¿Cómo tendría que ser? ¿Qué espacio me hace falta?

Etnografía Digital ¿Qué es?

Etnografía digital por medio de la aplicación de WhatsApp.Esta consistió en la formación de un grupo con las mujeres del barrio interesadas en el tema.

Esta actividad sirve para obtener información de manera rápida y masiva dando lugar a la comodidad y privacidad de los participantes. Mediante un grupo de WhatsApp se publican actividades/preguntas y los participantes tienen la libertad de contestar con fotos, audios o videos.

¿Cómo?

En la etnografía digital realizada con el barrio de Santa María Magdalena se realizó la siguiente actividad: Cada día se envió una pregunta durante 3 días. Esta se tenía que contestar en un periodo de 24 hrs o hasta que se publicará la siguiente. Las respuestas se recibían por medio del mismo grupo o de manera privada.

Se decidió hacer los talleres de manera diferente, para respetar la privacidad y el tiempo de las mujeres del barrio. Debido a que la pandemia no nos permite hacer trabajo presencial en la comunidad, la forma de contactarlas fue a través de Facebook. parecía muy invasivo intentar hacer videoconferencias, partiendo de ser unas desconocidas.

Antes de dar inicio a las actividades de etnografía por medio de WhatsApp, a manera de introducción, se establecieron las instrucciones generales, donde se aclaraba el respeto por la diversidad de opiniones y por la privacidad de la experiencia de cada una. Era importante que todas las mujeres al entrar al grupo, leyeran esta serie de enunciados para comprender la actividad y poder participar de manera activa.

Recuerda poner el punto A y el punto B (Donde comienza tu recorrido y a dónde llegas) En el croquis dibuja/haz notas/usa flechas, cualquier cosa que te sirva para expresar lo reflexionado.

Estrategias A partir de cada grupo de elementos que generan percepción de inseguridad, se crearon una serie de principios para calles seguras desde la perspectiva femenina. Además de las voces de las mujeres en los talleres, se utilizó la guía de Entornos Habitables de Colectivo Punto 6 para consolidar esta teoría.

A cada principio, corresponden una serie de objetivos que a su vez incluyen actuaciones que son posibles de realizar desde la acción individual y comunitaria. Se ha definido un tiempo en el que cada una de estas actuaciones puede dar inicio para que en una ciudad ideal, las calles sean un espacio que incluya a todos.

Querétaro La violencia comunitaria contra las mujeres y las niñas es una realidad en el Municipio de Querétaro.

En Marzo de 2021, Querétaro se registró como el estado con más agresiones registradas contra la mujer, más del doble que el promedio del país.

La tasa de violencia de género por cada 100 mil habitantes es del 18.5 %, mientras el promedio nacional ronda en el 7%, esto de acuerdo con cifras del Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad y del Instituto Queretano para la Mujer.

Las principales receptoras de violencia comunitaria son las mujeres jóvenes y mujeres que salen a trabajar. La vulnerabilidad incrementa si pertenecen al grupo de la tercera edad, tienen alguna discapacidad, son indígenas o analfabetas.

Por lo tanto, debido al actual contexto violento de la ciudad, es necesario empezar el cambio.

Se realizó un estudio de las comunidades más conflictivas de Querétaro. Así mismo, estas comunidades han sido clasificadas como inseguros debido a la relación que tienen con la delincuencia, drogadicción, alcoholismo, pandillas, robos y venta de droga.

De los barrios antes mencionados, Santa María Magdalena es el que más habitantes tiene dentro del municipio, y donde predomina la población femenina.

Community violence against women and girls is a reality in the Municipality of Querétaro.

In March 2021, Querétaro was registered as the state with the most attacks against women, more than double the country’s average.

The rate of gender violence per 100,000 inhabitants is 18.5%, while the national average is around 7%, this according to figures from the Executive Secretariat of the National Security System and the Queretano Institute for Women.

The main recipients of community violence are young women and women who go out to work. Vulnerability increases if they belong to the elderly group, have a disability, are indigenous or illiterate.

Therefore, due to the current violent context of the city, it is necessary to start the change.

A study of the most conflictive communities in Querétaro was carried out. Likewise, these communities have been classified as unsafe due to the relationship they have with crime, drug addiction, alcoholism, gangs, robberies and drug sales.

Of the aforementioned neighborhoods, Santa María Magdalena is the one with the most inhabitants within the municipality, and where the female population predominates.

Destacan sus fiestas patronales en honor a Santa María Magdalena y la gran “ feria de la tortilla y el mole”. El barrio es reconocido por sus platillos típicos que han trascendido y han identificado a las mujeres de la comunidad.

El barrio está formado a partir de la actividad agrícola, a pesar de que Querétaro está enfocado al sector de industria y servicios, la actividad del campo, persiste hasta el día de hoy en este barrio.

The neighborhood is formed from agricultural activity, although Querétaro is focused on the industry and services sector, the activity of the countryside persists to this day in this neighborhood.

Santa María Magdalena El barrio se ubica en la periferia, en el lado oeste de la ciudad. El territorio está conformado mayormente por la vivienda y el comercio informal, por lo tanto su crecimiento ha sido descontrolado y desordenado.

El territorio está limitado por múltiples bordes y pocos accesos, creando un barrio fragmentado lo que ha causado una consolidación evidente en un solo extremo.

Los factores son tres principalmente: las vías del tren que cruzan por el barrio, el río Querétaro y el campo militar.

Como resultado ha convertido estas zonas en espacios complicados de transitar, descuidados y solitarios, que combinado con la falta de infraestructura ha generado calles inseguras y violentas .

Así mismo, se hace evidente que las mujeres tienen una mayor percepción de inseguridad debido a que se sienten más vulnerables al transitar en el espacio público, dando como resultado el aislamiento y reclusión en casa en ciertos horarios y cambio de rutinas como medidas de autoprotección.

Likewise, it is evident that women have a greater perception of insecurity because they feel more vulnerable when traveling in public space, resulting in isolation and confinement at home at certain times and change of routines as self-protection measures.

Adicional a esta información, se reviso el informe del Instituto Queretano de las Mujeres (2012) donde a partir de participacion ciudadana, mujeres del barrio de Santa Maria Delincuencia, Inseguridad, Magdalena declararon que lo que les hace sentir miedo es la venta de droga y alcohol en Vias de tren la colonia, además de la oscuridad y un intento de violación que hubo cerca de las vías.

La información para realizar este mapa se obtuvo a partir de noticias con relación a la delincuencia, testimonios obtenidos por las mujeres de la comunidad y el informe emitido por el municipio de Querétaro antes mencionado.

Se concluye que la zona más insegura del barrio es la zona de las vías de tren.

Análisis del sitio Con los datos recabados en el “Mapa de inseguridad” antes presentado, se define que la zona más insegura del barrio son las vías del tren, por lo tanto, nuestras estrategias son aplicadas y probadas en este sitio.

El sitio muestra una importante división territorial debido a las vías del tren y el río Querétaro. Las calles no están pavimentadas, la poca naturaleza del sitio crece sin medida, las fachadas son ciegas y el alumbrado público es casi nulo. A pesar del contexto hay un tránsito importante de autos y de peatones en las mañanas.

Espacio de recorrido lineal. El puente peatonal permite tener un recorrido dinámico y accesible que une los espacios fragmentados por la vía del tren. El uso exclusivo de techumbres en el espacio público permiten tener espacios completamente visibles y vigilados que propicien la permanencia, el descanso y ojos en la calle. Comercio activo, recreación y concientización complementan el espacio.

El puente peatonal The pedestrian bridge

Este proyecto pretende tejer una conexión entre las dos partes de la comunidad que ha sido dividida a partir de las vías de tren. Convertir esta fractura en espacio positivo, para consolidar el barrio como uno solo. El elemento del proyecto que logra esto de una manera más evidente, es el puente peatonal, que además de crear esa conexión, consigue continuar el programa de un lado a otro del barrio. Proponiendo una manera de activar el espacio incluso en otro nivel al del peatón.
