SARAH P. DUKE GARDENS Duke Gardens began in 1935 as an iris garden. Now, it is a world-class botanical garden with four sections: the Historic Gardens, Blomquist Garden of Native Plants, Culberson Asiatic Arboretum, and Doris Duke Center Garden.
