3 Dear Center Community, As we look back on The Center’s community impact for this past year, it’s more than just a recap—it’s a celebration of the 65 years of our community spirit. This annual report is a snapshot of The Center’s soul—a 65-year story of resilience and community impact. Our island and this community are rich in stories from the past. Both then and now, the community remains the heartbeat of The Center. From its modest beginnings to today, the bonds created in the community or at The Center run deep. Looking ahead, we set our sights on the next 65 years; we envision a future marked by growth and an unwavering commitment to our community’s evolving needs. We anticipate changes in programming, community outreach, and facility upgrades, ensuring The Center remains a welcoming haven for support, learning, and recreation. Central to this vision is our dedication to a sustainable future—not just in structures but in the lasting impact we leave on lives. Revisiting our long-term strategic plan, we aim to strengthen our future by fortifying our endowment, ensuring our ability to adapt, thrive, and serve this community far longer than the 65 years to come. As we share these dreams and accomplishments, our gratitude extends to you—our members and devoted donors. Your support is the center of our success, and we invite you to help us script the story of our future. Here’s to the next 65 years of growth, resilience, and the AMI spirit that binds us together. YOUTH PROGRAM has incorporated
STEAM into
our Youth After School program. STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math provides learning opportunities that help kids develop a wide range of skills, including problem solving, critical thinking and creativity. These are important skills that will help our kids throughout their lives, as they will be able to apply them to a variety of situations and challenges. The Center offers a sliding fee application for those facing financial constraints, allows for everyone to participate.
