Saints Zelie & Louis Martin

Before Zelie and Louis met each other in 1858, they both were interested in religious life, but God had other plans for them. Louis became a watchmaker and Zelie opened up her own business as a seamstress. Then, one day, their paths crossed and they fell in love. Zelie and Louis raised a very holy family together. In fact, their family was so holy that one of their children is also a saint - St. Thérèse of Lisieux (known as the Little Flower)! They had nine children, though four died in infancy. Their five daughters grew up to serve God through religious life. In 2015, Zelie and Louis Martin were the first husband and wife to be canonized together as a married couple! They are the patron saints of marriage and parents. Pray through the intercession of St. Zelie and St. Louis for your relationship with your parents.
