In the 18th century, London was a cultural mecca, and the finest foreign musicians flocked here to entertain the theatre-going crowds – amongst them the great Mr Handel.

Now, in a new partnership with The Castle, professional baroque specialists Fiori Musicali introduce you to the excitement of music in England at that time. Get to know Handel and his circle, and hear favourite pieces that wowed audiences under George I.

Come behind the scenes to lunchtime events in the Studio on Friday 28 September and Friday 26 October. See and hear baroque instruments at close quarters, meet some of Fiori’s musicians and enjoy popular music from the heyday of baroque England. Fiori’s grand finale evening concert on Saturday 24 November features brilliant popular music that was all the rage in Georgian England, including Handel’s Largo, the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, the Oxford Water Music, and arias and duets from Julius Caesar.
