Performance Ellie Harrison presents

The Grief Series Ellie Harrison is a Leeds-based artist and performance maker. She is currently working on a sequence of seven works entitled The Grief Series. As part of a special residency at The Carriageworks (supported by Emerge and Freshly Picked), she presents the first two pieces in the series, with accompanying talks and workshops.

Etiquette of Grief

The Reservation

A step by step guide for how to deal with bereavement. Thousands struggled to cope with the loss of Princess Diana, Jade Goody, Michael Jackson and even, occasionally, their own loved ones. Ellie knows it can be difficult to express feelings of anger, sadness and loss. She would like to provide some moral support, Dutch courage and perhaps a musical accompaniment to inspire you at this testing time. The piece will be accompanied by guest speaker event Breaking the Ice. Before the performance, a professional clinician will join Ellie to discuss creative and therapeutic practices in relation to overcoming trauma and grief.

The Reservation is recruiting now for interns to work in their specialist facility. We are looking for compassionate, open-minded people looking to gain experience in the care profession. Could this be you? Apply now and make a difference. This intimate performance for three people at a time peeks behind closed doors and asks if there is a time and place for expressions of extreme emotion? This site-responsive performance takes place at The Queen’s Hotel, Leeds City Centre. Full details will be given on booking.
