etteville NC hosted the “Gathering” on Saturday, June 20, 2020. This ride was to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children and to promote motorcycle awareness and unity.

The day was a great success and so many clubs were present. Brothers and sisters from every club joined together as one! The day’s agenda was set to celebrate both unity and charity.

This event happens each year and a charitable organization such as the Shriners Hospital for Children is selected to do great things with the proceeds of the ride. This was no different; there were motorcyclists both with and without masks; and all were there to support this worthy cause. Many clubs were represented. took such an active part as they did last year. The Shriners led the ride. This partnership seems to be a perfect match with a hopeful outlook towards continued success and grand gains for the future. The “Gathering” took place at Charlie Mike’s Pub. There was plenty of room for everyone to be outside and enjoy the fellowship. There were many selfies and pictures taken to commemorate the day’s events. Everyone ate and socialized at Charlie Mike’s before and after the ride. There was a friendly atmosphere to promote all the clubs present. There was a warm brotherly feeling there. No one was at odds with anyone,

a welcomed change from the current event news! Greetings and hugs were all around; everyone was smiling and laughing together. Unity and Charity were on the agenda and the order was filled to the brim. It was a great day for all; the Shriners, the bikers and the brotherhood!

Motorcycle awareness is always an effort with each ride. The love of riding brings motorcyclists together each year. The joy of the “Gathering”, which supports all clubs, aims to acknowledge and support that we are all riders with a passion

for motorcycles; that passion of freedom, the open road, our spirit of community and last but certainly not least, Unity! Where we all ride together for the greater good!

It’s always a great feeling to take part in a charity event and this one is certainly one of my favorites. It’s an honor to be a part of these events that benefit the community and celebrate the love of the ride. I look forward to The Hells Angels’ MC, Fayetteville NC, events and Christmas celebrations of charity that are upcoming.
