Takeaways from the NBA Playoffs First Weekend

The NBA playoffs are off to a hot start. The first games of each series are done and they have given us so many moments that will shape the entire postseason.

The Boston Celtics trounced the Atlanta Hawks with a 112-99 win. A 29 point double-double from Jayson Tatum and a 25 point double-double from Jaylen Brown allowed the Celtics to cruise past the Hawks.

Hawks star Trae Young was held in check by the Celtics defense. As a result, first year Hawk Dejounte Murray had to step up, finishing with 24 points and eight rebounds.

The Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks series has been marked by injury. With four minutes left in the first quarter, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo took a hard fall and was unable to return to the game.

Milluakuee fought hard for a comeback but could not complete it. Forward Khris Middleton led the team in scoring with 33 points and guard Jrue Holiday recorded 16 points and 16 assists.
