Mr. Bellaire reigns
Bellaire High School’s annual Mr. Bellaire event was a huge success. The Class of 2015 raised over $11,000 to go to their after-prom party (alcohol- and drug-free). Ari Silverman was crowned Mr. Bellaire; he also took home the award for Best Swimsuit, along with Chris Wernette. Other winners were Paul Kim and
Saul Torres for Best Talent, Jose Medina for Best Eyes and Cole Holan for Best Smile, while Quint Carson won Mr. Congeniality and Elise Pantazis won Miss Congeniality.
Dunwoody Collins and Mariann Hablinski Dunwoody. The best man was Richie Heiser, Eric’s cousin. The couple honeymooned in the British Virgin islands.

I was totally in the dark that my department handled spraying for mosquitoes,” said Jane. “I said, ‘Well, you can probably go to the hardware store and buy some OFF!’” Pretty soon, she learned the ropes. She said she always felt challenged in her role. “The good thing about being a director is we had master-plan projects, and the special events were always getting better. I never felt stagnated. Lamar High School graduates Maggi Dunwoody and Eric Cummings tied the knot at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in January. Friends and family danced to the band Professor D alongside twinkle lights hidden in the floral arrangements that adorned the ballroom at the Houston Country Club. Sunni and Gary Markowitz will be honored at The Shlenker School’s annual spring fundraiser on March 28 at Congregation Beth Israel. Sunni and Gary will be presented with the school’s Spark Award, which recognizes a supporter who exemplifies the spirit of The Shlenker School. At Shlenker, both Sunni and Gary have participated as leaders and active parents. The couple’s three children are Abbie (’09), Brooke (’11) and Casey, who is a fifth grader.
