Ladies and Gentlemen We give to your hands the catalog that contains the collection of works, that will be exposed to auction by Art in House, organized this time in Brussels, in cooperation with the Belgian auction house The Bru Sale. The upcoming auction is the largest this type of event in recent years, promoting Polish art abroad. At the auction there will be exhibited works of art by young Polish artists, who use distinctive techniques and have interesting and unique ideas for their own creations. There will also be works made by more experienced artists, who have already gained a reputation and applause in Poland and all over the world. We are convinced that all the artists participating in the auction deserve attention and regard, but we would like you to draw special attention to works by Lech Bator, Wojciech Brewka, Marek Ejsmond-Ślusarczyk, Katarzyna Kołtan, Bartłomiej Koterski, Angelika Korzeniowska, Paweł Kuczyński, Beata Murawska, Katarzyna Słowiańska-Kuch, Mirella Stern and Urszula Tekieli. We hope that the auction itself, thanks to the number and variety of works exhibited, will contribute to promotion of young Polish art abroad. We would like this event to become a beginning to an international career for part of our artists. The auctioned works will be on display at several locations in Brussels, for example in The Bru Sale Gallery, that is placed in the centre at Rue Ravenstein, next to Belgian Centre for Fine Arts BOZAR. Auction will be held on 2 February 2016. In the aforementioned The Bru Sale Gallery. This is the first and hopefully not the last auction of our house abroad. Born in 1966. He’s a graduate of High School of Arts in Lublin and of School of Graphic in Denmark. In addition to painting, he designed posters, made sculptures, he worked with ceramics and illustrated many books. He’s an author of projects for Amnesty International, NGOs and private companies. He cooperates with galleries in Warsaw, Cracow and Lublin. His works are in private collections around the world.

He graduated from the University of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts in Istanbul (1982-1986), the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1986-1987), the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (1987-1991 - diploma in sculpture in prof. Leon Podsiadły’s atelier). He belongs to the Association of Polish Artists and association Factory of Art and to painters gathered in the Hoover Group. He did numerous sculptural projects, private and public. He participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

16 Wojciech Brewka Pink flamingo 2015
Acrylic on canvas, 120 x 120 cm Born in 1980 in Kalisz. He is a graduate of University of Łódź, he’s also a co-funder of publisher’s office art&design. He focuses on easel painting. He has now recognizable style and techniques, using classic painting tools as well as tools typical for street art artists. He’s fascinated in street art of Berlin. Copies of his works are made as stickers, that then are placed around urban space. Wojciech Brewka participated in many individual and group exhibitions.

Born in Warsaw in 1983. A graduate of the Faculty of Graphic of Academy of Arts in Warsaw. He obtained his diploma in multimedia from prof. Stanislaw Wieczorek’s studio in 2009. He made additional diploma in painting from prof. Adam Styka’s studio. He participated in several independently organized exhibitions in public spaces, professionally involved in making illustrations for children.

She’s involved in many different fields of visual arts, mainly painting, in which she creates characters or objects entangled in the “theatre of the situation. She participated in many group exhibitions.

To create his paintings he uses oil technique, mainly by applying paint with glaze.

He practices painting, stained glass, photography, painting on silk. She participated in dozens of individual and group exhibitions.

He has received many awards and honors including an honorary badge “Distinguished for Polish Culture” (2009). Scholar of Creativity Promotion Fund of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

He attended renowned Kenar’s Zakopane High School of Art, where he studied under tuition of professors: W. Hasior, T. Brzozowski and A. Rząsa. In 1973 he graduated from Cracow Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Interior Design. He studied under guidance of Professors: J. Ząbkowski, T. Kutermak, B. Braun and A. Sigmund. Lives and works in Cracow. He took part in more than 40 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Works by Andrzej Folfas are also owned by numerous private collectors all over the world.

Born in 1975 in Brzozowo, lives in Sanok. He finished studies at the Faculty of Art, University of Radom in 2002. He obtained his diploma in painting in the studio of Andrew Gieragi, and made an annex in graphics in prof. Christopher Wyzner’s studio. He had many solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Born in the seventies. Her life is controlled by two main drives: martial arts and painting, and two other: puppet theatres and poster art. She uses the technique of acrylic paints, as fast-drying paints. She presents simple wooden puppets in particular space, in which a play takes place, which is an illustration of life, and the title closes whole show.

Her works are in the collections of, among others, National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Krakow, Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Print Triennial in Krakow and private collections. She’s a multimedia artist – involved in painting, printmaking, videos, installations. Viola Tycz participated in many solo and group exhibitions during most important presentations of modern graphics. Her works are in collections of National Museum in Warsaw, the National Museum in Krakow, Wroclaw Contemporary Museum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Print Triennial in Cracow and in private collections.
