Describe the grade 10 class president experience.

This is my first time being a class president in all my years at DBTI, so I took this position without experience The first weeks of being a president were the most tiring, but this is how I learned an important lesson, the importance of having people you can rely on My class, 10-Zatti, was the best class that anybody could ever ask for; I felt how throughout the entire school year, we became closer to one another We entered our classroom as classmates, but we now live as brothers There is no better way of satisfaction than seeing how you, as a leader, have made more leaders you know will be better than you This experience has given me lessons that I know will be used even after my time here in DB, but my biggest takeaway is how in 10 or 20 years, I can be proud to say that I was not just the class president of 10-Zatti, but also how proud I am to be classmates with them

How do the education systems in Don Bosco help you as a student?
First, nakaktulong siya sa akin kasi I can go beyond or natatranscend ko yung natututunan ko It does not mean that you got a perfect score on an exam, you are already a smart person The next challenge is saan mo gagamitin yung knowledge na yan? What higher application method will that knowledge be used for Doon ako nachachallenge ng system Next is tinatry ko mag inject ng relgiousity sa pag-aaral ko kahit I’m a Scienceloving or logic-loving person, gusto ko talagang kahit wala akong pinanghahawakan, I just know I’m safe kasi andyan si Lord, yun talaga yung nahubog sa akin ng Don Bosco educational system which is through it all kasama mo si Lord
What can you say about the friends that you’ve made along the way?
What are the highlights of your studies as a Bosconian?
Actually, I can summarize them into three main events first when Sir Paul said ako yung nakaassign para mag gratitude speech nung grade 9 recognition It felt frightening kasi grabe talaga yung stage fright ko and grabe yung anxiety ko as in visible, talagang nagmamanifest yung anxiety ko in a way na hindi ko siya macontrol Second is yung miting de avance, grabe yung tumatak sa akin nun kasi 8 seconds ako nag blackout literal I didn't know what happened as in nagblanko lang ako for 8 seconds which felt like 30 minutes kasi siyempre naka salang ka doon Although shempre nakabawi ako it was kind of traumatic I guess, pero ang mahalaga is nabawi ko siya Through it I’ve learned na hindi naman mahalaga na nablanko ako pero yung kung paano ko na fill yung blank na yun which is through the way I answered And lastly, ang pinaka highlight talaga ang pag kasama ko yung friends ko after class kasi kapag after class parang wala ka nang prinoproblema lalo na kapag after term exams it feels cathartic
How do you maximize your free time as a Bosconian?
I actually can divide this into three categories, friends, family and self Post-school or after dismissial, gumagala talaga kami ng friends ko, nagsasama sama kami is my free time talaga bago ka umuwi recharfged ka na Next is as a family, lagi kaming nagmimisa during Sundays yun, and we love having staycations, aalis kami pupunta kami sa ganitong lugar, mahilig din kaming manood ng movies, so isa rin yun sa kung paano ko sinespend yung free time ko And lastly of course is self, if hindi niyo alam I’m an active runner I run at least thrice a week, and running realy clears my mind Sinusubukan kong tumakbo ng tumakbo ng tumakbo kasi grabe yung effect niya sa akin mentally aside sa physical benefits niya Grabe yung clarity na nakukuha ko sa kanya and shempre inaacompany ko ng tulog I actually sleep a lot, mahilig ako mag takes ng naps
For this gusto ko muna iclarify na hindi lang costudents ang naging friends ko, pero marami din akong naging friends na teachers, non-teaching personnel, and mga friends from the different competitions na nasalihan ko For me, masasabi ko is thank you and I’m grateful that they pushed me to be the best, hindi naman sila naging tutor sa akin but they pushed me to be the best simply because they were there, they were always ready to listen to my rants, my vents and to have those people in your life is something rare and once you have it parang I feel valued na may ganong tao sa paligid ko And, kasi for me naging mahalaga rin na parang, kasi they didn’t treat me as an academic competitor, pero they treated me as a friend, yung trato nila sa akin parang may mga moments na ako yung nagsisisi kasi hindi ko magawa sa kanila ang mga ginagawa nila sa akin Na parang nakakapanghinayang na sila they’re exerting so much effort sa akin sa relationship namin, pero ako hindi ko siya ma reciprocate And then, masasabi ko rin sa kanila is goodluck sa mga co-students ko na magiibang school na Napaka eventful ng next chapters ng buhay natin kasi we’re outside of this enclosed bubble which is Don Bosco
What are your takeaways from the different academic events like the research symposium or the Arts and Literature Talent Festival?
Before I begin, gusto ko mag thank you to sir Dominic Clavia, and sir Aldin Ferasol for granting me these opportunities in my academic career Actually, yung main take-away ko sa mga naexperience kong competitions, is the world is big and we have yet to explore i, We’re kept in a bubble and this bubble makes us closed of sa mundo na parang ito lang tayo, ito nakasanayan natin and nandito lang tayo We must learn to get out of our comfort zones and kaakibat non is hindi naman porket sa dati mong comfort zone ganito naging buhay mo sa labas ng comfort zone mo ganun pa rin No Kung lagi kang nag susucceed sa comfort zone mo, rethink, hindi ka lagi mag susuccceed outside of it Yun yung na learn ko from the academic events Sa tingin ko kasi napakagaling kong tao May ganon akong sense of pride Tapos nung sumabak kami sa symposium, sa ArtLit Festival, nakita ko na parang, “ay, hindi pala ako ganun kagaling when competed against other students from all over the Philippines or all over the batch” Pero ang mahalaga dito is nahohone niya yung soft skills na meron tayo Through these academic events, namamaster natin and ginagamit natin in our daily life
What are your favorite subjects in school and why?
Sa dinamidami ng subjects sa Don Bosco, yung pinaka paborito ko talaga are ICT Software, Science, and English Sali na rin natin yung research since they’re overlapping First is Science, since I was young favorite ko yung Science Kahit anong mangyari I just enjoy it pero ngayon kasi mas lalo ko siya na enjoy kasi ang saya mag turo ni Ma’am Joy especially with the addition of Sir Christian na practice teacher namin They make the lesson enjoyable, yung Science namin this year yun yung parang subject na papasok ka ng sobrang excited tapos ayaw na ayaw mo matapos because you’re enjoying it Na kahit ultimo nagtetest kayo ayaw mo matapos yung oras You just enjoy it nanghihinayang ako na twice a week lang kami nagkikita Next of course is yung software Software kasi doon ko naaapply yung technical skills ko which is through software supposedly Actually dagdag pa dito yung hardwares since overlapping din naman sila Namamaster ko yung pagkagusto ko sa digital world Mahilig akong mag explore explore im curious as a person and napepeak yung curiosity ko ng software tska hardware pero of course sometimes nahihirapan ako Lastly of course is English and Research For these subjects gusto ko yung sa English I enjoy literature lalo na kapag poem siya Mahilig ako sa poems I love creative poems, I love to make poems Mahilig din kasi ako mag critique ng paper so actually isa rin yun sa hobbies ko kumuha ako ng isang text or story from social media tapos icicritique ko siya, then for research, I’m naturally curious Sa research di pwedeng curious ka lang eh, dapat may purpose rin yung curioisity mo Naenjoy ko yung research kasi ang hirap niya pero ang fulfilling niya na parang at the end may reward, which is what I get from research
