morning, but atmospheric and thought provoking. „Eyes wide shut” is Stanley Kubrick's movie about loss, desire and deep emotions.

As I mentioned, December is obviously a month perfect for spooky art, but also a time when everyone craves a good winter film. As much as we love cliche and cosy Christmas movies, sometimes we might be overwhelmed by that genre and look for something less traditional. And here I can recommend to you one of my favourite winter movies, certainly not a one to watch with family on Christmas
The film touches humans' most hidden emotionsandthoughts. It perfectlyconnectsthe idea of secret societies arising from deepest desires and cult-like ideas with weakness, insecurities and obsessive thoughts. The plot of the film happens during the winter time in New York, which creates an atmospheric, unique vibe.
What I loved about this film the most, was the great way of portraying an individual in a relationship, but also in a larger group of people. All emotions that are tried to be hidden and fears of regular doctors meeting questionable society are shown very clearly which makes it easier to relate to him and sympathise with his feelings.
