It's All About People 2022

PEOPLE "...for God so loved the world..."

“The San Francisco Bay Area is among the least religious regions of the US, according to the Pew Research Center, with only 42% of adults saying they believe in God with absolute certainty (compare that to 71% in Atlanta). Traditional religion in the Bay Area is being replaced with another sort of faith, a belief in the power of technology and science to save humanity. It’s a creed that says poverty and disease are simply programming challenges yet to be solved, bad code to be debugged.” Staley, Oliver. “How to Talk About God in Silicon Valley.” Quartz at Work. June 7, 2018

As a church family, our Biblical mission is loving God, and loving people. We will always be committed to caring for people with a compassion that is gracious in acceptance, without compromising truth.

We exist to serve the 8 million beautiful people in the Bay Area... this means the 25% of those people who have a relationship with Christ, as well as the 75% of those people who do not yet know Him.

52 GREAT WEEKENDS Life-giving Biblical teaching, worship, kids, and youth ministries MULTI-SITE One church, many locations, throughout the Bay Area... our third campus appears imminent SPIRITUAL GROWTH Maturing believers and reaching those far from God with the love of Christ LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Developing pipelines of future servant leaders for The Bay Church

With our ministry leaders aligned around our priorities, we've identified some essential building projects to enable us to fulfill our mission: Brentwood Campus: • Landscaping, entry courtyard, parking lots • Paint entire campus (inside and outside) • Lobby expansion and restrooms upgrade • Worship Center seating, paint, carpet, lighting, stage, technology • New Children's Ministry Center Concord Campus: • Transforming our 2-acre gravel lot into an essential area with green space for community and recreation and events • Student Ministry Center

PRAY - Ask God to give us understanding and compassion to reach the people of the Bay Area. - Ask God what He wants me to give as my offering during the course of the next year that our campaign vision becomes reality. GIVE - Give an initial offering on Sunday, June 12 - Give a sacrificial offering (over and above the tithe) to this campaign over the next year. - Give a non-cash asset (ie: investments, real estate, personal property, etc.). SERVE - Volunteer periodically throughout the next year to serve at one of our volunteer days during construction. - Be a bringer and includer, regularly inviting friends, family, co-workers, and people in our sphere of influence, to experience The Bay Church at one of our services or events.

We estimate all combined projects, on both campuses, will cost approximately $2.5 million. If necessary, we'll borrow up to $1 million and pay the remaining $1.5 million over the course of this next year through this campaign, cash flow, and savings. Let's believe God together, and watch Him provide! As your servant leaders, it's our request that during this one-year campaign, everyone that calls The Bay Church their spiritual home give a SACRIFICAL OFFERING (over and above their tithe) - beginning June 12th - to invest in the spiritual future of our church as we invest in the 8 million people of the Bay Area.

- We will create new and fresh ministry environments that will enable us to attract and retain: • 400 - 600 new individuals and families • 300 new children • 200 new teens • Expand the scope of our Compassion Ministries - The first 10% of our total offering will be invested in our Compassion Ministries: the underserved, the children, the poor, the hungry, the homeless. - We would learn to demonstrate bold faith and extravagant generosity toward the mission of God!
