Feel the Heal

Entry Deadline: August 4, 2024

Exhibition Dates: September 7 - January 4

Join us for the Feel the Heal Initiative from September 7 to January 4 at The Bascom. This initiative will showcase diverse artistic expressions of human resilience, encompassing themes of illness, loss, and grief. We welcome submissions in all styles and mediums, believing in the transformative power of art to heal, inspire, provoke, and challenge. Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness about art as a catalyst for positive change and the enrichment of individual, societal, and environmental well-being through the creativity of artists.

Heartists of all skill levels and mediums are encouraged to participate. Submit your heartfelt artwork in any medium that speaks to your personal experiences with healing, hope, and courage.

Submission Guidelines

Submit required information via email to Zach Rogers, Director of Exhibitions at zrogers@thebascom.org.

Please Include

• Name

• Title, medium, dimensions, and date of artwork

• Website (if applicable)

• High-resolution JPG image of work

• Age and a short (about 100 words) artist statement about the work related to the theme

Calendar of Events

¥ Submission Entry Deadline: August 4, 2024

¥ Deadline for Work Drop Off: August 22 (mailed) August 24 (in person)

¥ Exhibition Dates: September 7, 2024 - January 4, 2025

¥ Public Reception: September 12, 2024 5pm

Exhibition Guidelines

¥ Submitted work will be reviewed by a selection panel of visual art professionals.

¥ All mediums will be considered.

¥ All work must be labeled with the title and artist at time of delivery.

¥ All work must be ready for display. Hardware and materials will not be supplied by The Bascom.

¥ Artists will be responsible for delivery and pick up of artwork.

¥ Accepted work must be picked up within 1 month of exhibition close or include a prepaid mailing label for return shipping.

¥ Work left after the deadline will become property of The Bascom unless other arrangements are made.

¥ No work can leave the gallery before the exhibition closes.

¥ There are no size restrictions on size of submitted work. (All pieces must fit in the gallery)

Sales

Artwork will be sold through The Bascom. If work is not for sale, please mark NFS. Artists will recive 60% commission from retail price. (60/40 split for artists and The Bascom)
