PSS Multiplex: Boosted with Matchless Audio Systems

Located in the heart of Vannarpettai, this massive four-screen multiplex greets its visitors with an unimaginable experience. Being the first multiplex to ever have been fitted out with Spain-origin KCS speakers, this multiplex is on its way to give a tough competition to its contemporaries.

PSS Multiplex is one of the most unique Space Planning Projects in the town with a spacious common lobby space featuring a selfie wall and a grand concession counter. With a vision to create the first of its kind multiplex, Prathap Raja, the Managing Director planned this lavish multiplex with the Theatre Consultant, N. B. Punniamoorthi.

With the extensive three-acre land, a versatile plan was initiated to construct a four-screen multiplex boasting a total capacity of 1145 seats including 49 luxurious recliner seats. The recliner seats offer a lavish and comfortable seating as well as viewing experience to the audience. The cinema is one of the most unique Space Planning Projects in Tirunelveli with a spacious common lobby space boasting a selfie wall and a grand concession counter.

The theatre interiors have been designed by Dezign and Construction Studio from Chennai. Managing Director, N. P. Anand elaborated on the thought process behind designing this project. "The design is very unique, and each of the auditoriums compliment the vibrant 3D view and colour. Each of the auditoriums are unique, as screen 1 is decked with olive green and grey, screen 2 with a red-coloured theme, screen 3 with gold accents and screen 4 with purple-themed interiors along with other elements and lighting concepts. They give the feel of a new experience in and around Tirunelveli. The sophisticated experience leaves the guests with an awe effect," added Anand.

Not only the screens, but also the lobby and the restrooms are well lit along with the use of the latest materials leaving the guest with a completely novel experience. The façade is simple with spaces for hoardings compared to what we see inside the premises. The canopy has been designed in a manner that is incomparable to ordinary canopies. The shape, lights - both natural and artificial and the materials used were incorporated into a huge waiting space in front of the façade. The elevation has been facilitated by the Chennai based company Fabs and Glaze under the guidance of their Managing Director, Nagaraj.

The prior experience of owning and operating multiplex led Prathap Raja to choose a unique and never heard before audio system. The first ever KCS Speakers were imported specially for this project by the integrators Studio Soundscape with the help of Arun Ramesh, their Managing Director.

The remarkable seating experience has been provided by SR Seatiing. SR Seating has launched 2 of their new models SR09 and SR10 at PSS multiplex. These models are equipped with enhanced features of luxury and comfort which help in the movie watching experience over a period of long duration. The cosmetic features are enhanced by stitching patterns on the chair that have been introduced for the first time in the industry. The foam and fabric utilised are fire resistant and it is fitted with an easy, smooth and effortless sliding mechanism.
