Travellers in Delhi persisted to have a distressing time on Tuesday as the law enforcement officers kept various roads intensely obstructed & rerouted traffic from many points even as the shutdown of various boundary points due to the farmers’ dissent led to massive snarls around those points. Senior law enforcement officers who enunciated on condition of obscurity declared security was further increased within the city in expectation of problems by thousands of dissidents who are camping on Delhi boundaries in opposition to the three controversial farm laws. WHAT IS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND WHERE DOES INDIA STAND ON THE ISSUE?

Child pornography refers to the depiction of any minor engaging in, appearing to be engaging in or images that represent engaging in sexually explicit conduct. It is a major part of the porn industry and is widely prevalent in India. Many efforts have been made to limit and prohibit such depiction of children but to no avail. In April 2020, India Child Protection Fund (ICPF), a non-profit organisation (NGO), reported that consumption of CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) or CSAI (Child Sexual Abuse Imagery) content in India increased by 95 per cent, between March 24 and 26,duringthe nationwide lockdown. Terms such as “child porn”, “sexy child” and “teen sex videos”, appeared in frequent searches as per a report citing data from the pornography website, Pornhub. According to international reports, India has the highest amount of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online, i.e., 11.7% of the total amount in the world and has emerged as one of the major producers and consumers of porn in the world. The spike in consumption indicates that a number of paedophiles, child rapists and child pornography addicts have migrated online. The internet has therefore become an unsafe place for children and this could result in a dramatic increase in sexual crimes targeting children.
WHAT FACTORS FEED THE INDUSTRY?
Pornography is a multi-million- dollar industry and it predominantly feeds off the internet. In 2018, India had over 480 million active Internet users across the country and this figure was projected to grow to over 660 million by 2023 and India is ranked as the second largest consumer of online content, coming second only to China. While the statistics outline the intensity of the crime, the migration of potential and persistent child sexual offenders, paedophiles, child rapists and child pornography addicts, is even more worrying as the ensuing lockdown of schools has resulted in digital classrooms, exposing more children and teenagers to the Internet. According to the Internet & Mobile Association of India‘s (IAMAI) Digital in India report, approximately 71 million children aged between 5-11 years in India access the Internet for online lessons, constituting nearly 14 per cent of the country’s active Internet user base of over 500 million and therefore are unconsciously putat an inadvertent risk, making themselvesmore vulnerable to online predators. Moreover, online child sexual exploitation skyrocketed during the coronavirus pandemic, with millions of people around the world working remotely and many victims trapped in isolation with their abusers while feeding off a deep-rooted systemic culture ofoffline child sexual abuse.
THE FOOLPROOF DESIGN USED BY THE PERPETRATORS
A report published by INTERPOL in Septem-
ber 2020, found that a number of favourable factors from the pandemic,including the closure of schools, restrictions on international travel, and an increased amount of time spent online, have created a perfect breeding ground for sexual predators. They target children by befriending them online on social media to ‘groom’ them and then lure them to perform sexual activities through photos and videos, the report said. Police sources said most child pornography cases surfaced following a breach of trust or a strained relationship between the accused and victims. “After developing intimate relationships with the girls, the accused would cheat them and click obscene photos of the victims and circulate pornographic material onsocial media,” S K Swain, a retired deputy superintendent of police. A huge amount of child exploitation materials is being shared via peer-to-peer networks, especially on the darknet and an increase in selfgenerated materials such as nude selfies,being distributed on the clear net. Restrictions on movement and more time spent at home has led to an increase in demand,while economic hardships and opportunities for abuse has led to an increase in supply and this is the silent but ugly reality. Significant delays in the reporting and policing of abuse as a result of downsizing measures and staff cutbacks and almost everyone being steered towards bringing the pandemic under control had set the right tone for the perpetrators. Frequent change of URLs for the purpose of hiding from radar of the censor agencies are the regular hide-and-seek strategies of the service providers. Further, victims of such online sexual abuse,most commonly girls, are afraid to come forward with their stories as there exists a strong stigma surrounding such incidents that the victim is subject to more harassment and abuse if the crime is out in the open.
With such compelling dominance of power, victims of child sex abuse are too afraid to speak out when they are being sexually exploited, especially when it is a close family member.
LAW AND ORDER
The following laws are present in the country to battle child pornography: m Sec 292 and 293 of the IPC prohibit pornography in any form. Sec 293 particularly talks about pornographic exposure to young children and prohibits it. The imperative concept dealt with under these two sections is an obscenity. The reason to penalize such material is to safeguard the decency of the society and stop corrupt ideology from prevailing. m Sec 13 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 prohibits the use of children for the purpose of sexual gratification and Sec 14 of the same Act gives the punishment for the same. The material might be graphics, print, electronic or any other form. m Sec 15 of the POCSO Act penalizes the storing of any pornographic material involving a child. The aim of introducing such sections is to prevent and penalize the exploitation of children. m The Information and Technology Act, 2000 also has a provision against child pornography. Sec 67B of the said Act talks about punishment for publishing or transmitting material depicting children in sexually explicit acts, etc. in electronic form. In the above-mentioned legislation, children mean people who have not completed 18 years of age.
UNDERSTANDING THE LAW
The laws prohibiting and penalizing child pornography are a debatable topic duringarguments in courts. As there's no definition of child pornography given by the IPC or any other Act, what constitutes child pornography and what
doesn't has always been a question to ponder upon. What is moral, ethical, and acceptable is usually a challenge with the changing times. India has legal provisions to deal with those using CSAM with both the IT Act, 2000, and the POCSO Act, 2012, defining what constitutes child porn. But there are certain loopholes that need to be taken care of. Though the recent amendment armed the POCSO Act with a provision to report pornographic material involving children,the industry is still under no obligation to tell authorities of CSAM-related activities, they come across. Moreover, strict laws alone won’t be enough to discourage criminals. Tracking and monitoring mechanisms must be scaled up, and aggressive awareness campaigns on how to identify and report abuse and porn should be brought to light. Though law enforcement agencies are now more alert to its occurrence online, the offenders who are caught don’t get the punishment they deserve. Mostly, they get out on bail and have the freedom to continue their activities. Hence, there’s a requirement to make sure that the offenders aren't only tracked but punished in order that the laws and therefore the criminal justice system can convince to be a deterrent. Since April 2019, the Kerala police after launching their Operation P-Hunt to track down and nab paedophiles lurking in cyberspace, have arrested 124 people. Although, given the widespread consumption of child porn, across diverse age groups and places, the authorities may have scraped just the icing of this unshakeable evil. Some of those nabbed were found to be a part of global child porn rackets, creating and supplying obscene content.
THE ROLE OF FAMILY AND SOCIETY IN COMBATTING THIS EVIL
Considering the grave threats children are exposed to, due to porn-sites, the roles of parents, families and kinships need to be rebuilt in the present scenario as prevention starts from education and proper awareness at home. As schools are shut, children away from their friends and social life are more vulnerable to isolation, stress and anxiety which may lead to get addicted to pornography, if not educated about the drastic consequences that may follow. They lack the maturity and experience to even understand when they are being taken advantage of and having their rights violated. As ethics, morality and culture always remain an inseparable element of the Indian society, we tend to give more importance to dignity rather than education. The consequences of child pornography happen to be an invasion of their moral and intellectual health. Therefore, the responsibility of the parents and guardians towards children at home, should be to act as guides so as to engage them in a pleasant environment to discuss the impending dangers.
A few pointers to safeguard children against Child Pornography: m Children should be taught when to say No to pornography, even if exposed to it accidentally. They should be able to recognise the threats it could pose to them and everyone around them.
3 m Children could be exposed to pornography through third parties, making them curious. Therefore, it is important to have an ongoing dialogue with them and be well – informed of their activities, online. m If a parent realizes that their child has seen pornography, stay calm. Speak to them on how it is important to stay away from it and ways it could turn dangerous. The earlier the initiation of dialogue, the better. m Parents and guardians can filter, what and how their children are using social media. They need to keep an eye on what their child is watching and maintain control over their gadgets as well. m It is important for children to understand that a parent’s harsh advice doesn’t mean they can’t be trusted, but is actually a means to keep them safe. Using the right language and words such as “safe”, “protection”, can go a long way in having healthier conversations. m It is imperative that children are made aware about the good touch and the bad touch to keep them safe. The more aware kids are, the safer they will be. m Sometimes parents share some private, intimate pictures of their little children on social media, which may be harmless but it is more than enough for perverts to use them illegally. Experts warn parents to be

It’s ok to say ‘No’ to protect your child. m If a parent realizes that their child has been victimized, they should immediately contact law enforcement to deal with crimes such as these.
Why are children put under the scanner?
Currently, a host of television and media shows aired nationally end up sexualising children, especially girls. From overly sexualised clothes, makeup and accessories to moves, gestures and expressions while dancing, singing or just for the sake of comedy, children and teenagers end up imitating the moves of adult actors or singers. From lip-syncing to playing the chubby and cutesy acts, children are portrayed in questionable ways, much alike to “fantasy” keyword searches like “sexy child”, “sexy school girl”, “school girl sex” and many more gory terms. Parents don’t dare complain either as the entertainment industry brings in huge money and quick fame. Similarly, fashion labels that sell ridiculously morbid versions of “cute” adult wear in a kid version only add fuel to the fire, in favour of such delusions.

The lockdown period forced many into destitution and poverty and a few poor families are vulnerable to do anything to make ends meet. They may, knowingly or unknowingly, push their children into prostitution and the pornography industry in order to get three square meals. Poor households in rural areas lack awareness regarding this issue and therefore tend to be soft targets for offenders. The victims of child pornography could be children coming from urban areas as well. Teenagers are highly active on social media and are prone to falling into the clasps of the corrupt ways of the internet. There have been instances where images of students were taken from social media handles, morphed and uploaded on porn websites. The ill effects of such activities are adverse. No doubt sexual crimes and offences against children are on the rise. Consequentially, trafficking, prostitution etc., find its way in the society as well. It also promotes aggressive and exploitative behaviour amongst the viewers which in turn puts lives at risk as viewers want more of it in real life and are not satisfied with what’s on-screen.
THE ALARMING NEED FOR WORRY

The increasing demand for child pornography also leads to an increase in other crimes like child trafficking, sex tourism, forced prostitution., etc.This spike in viewership of CSAM has led to increasing child abuse at homes. The Childline India Helpline received more than 92,000 SOS calls for protection from abuse and violence in the beginning phase of the lockdown. "What the report shows is that we are seeing just the tip of a growing iceberg in terms of online child exploitation material,” said Jürgen Stock, INTERPOL Secretary-General, in a media release. “It is important to remember that each photo and video of child sexual abuse is evidence of a real crime involving real children.Each time a picture is viewed those children are re-victimized and their very real suffering is prolonged even further,” he said.

How the Constitution of India Came into Existence?

India celebrated her 71st republic day recently and being an Indian, everyone knows about the constitution of India and probably it’s chief architect B.R.Ambedakar. What many people don’t know is a committee that was appointed to write our constitution of India. It was called as the Drafting Committee. We celebrated our first republic day on January 26th, 1950, this was the day we put an end to the Government of India Act (1935) and India, as a republic was proclaimed. Soon after India got independence, the drafting committee was formed on 29th August 1947. The drafting committee consisted of seven members: Alladi Krishnaswami Ayyar (Ex- Advocate General, Madras State), N. Gopalaswami (Ex-Prime Minister, J&K and later member of Nehru Cabinet); B.R. Ambedkar, K.M Munshi (Ex- Home Minister, Bombay), Mohammad Saadulla (Ex-Chief Minister of Assam, Muslim League member), B.L. Mitter (Ex-Advocate General, India) and D.P. Khaitan (Scion of Khaitan Business family and a renowned lawyer). Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was appointed as the chairman of the drafting committee. Sir Benegal Narsing Rau (who became First Indian Judge in International Court of Justice, 1950–54) was appointed as the constitutional advisor. The sole purpose of the drafting committee was to prepare a draft constitution. Originally, our constitution had 395 articles categorized into 22 parts and 8 schedules, making it the longest consti-
tution in the world. It beholds the fundamental principles, proceduresand powers of our government institution.
Challenges Faced
India is a diverse nation with people of different religion, caste and colour live together with harmony. It isnot an easy task to frame rules that would equally benefit all the people in our country. Constitution of India wasn’t drafted overnight, it is only after 2 years, 11 months and 17 days that it was completed. To keep the democracy in our country intact as long as the future holds was the main objective and a constitution that would bring peace and put an end to the communal violence, also to unite the princely states.
Delay in Constitution of India
Our constitution was supposed to come into effect on 26 November 1949 but it was delayed two months to 26 January 1950. The reason dates back to 26 January 1930 whenPoorna Swaraj (Poorna meaning complete and Swa meaning Self) also called as Declaration
of the Independence of India was proclaimed by the Indian National Congress. Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted our tri-colour flag in the banks of Ravi River, Lahore (now in Pakistan) for the first time and Congress asked the people of India to observe that day the Independence Day of our country. Completing the Constitution of India is a tremendous task,but our eminent members of the Drafting committee endured many hardships for nearly 3 years and wrote the constitution that would help our country people to prevail peace, sovereignty, secularity towards each other. Our original constitution handwritten byPrem Behari Narain Raizada is safely kept in helium filled box in Central Library of the Parliament. We saw out Tri-colour flag shine brightly in the sky during our 71st republic day, all thanks to the members of the constituent assembly.

Since cyber sexual crimes against children aren't localised, there is a need for collaborative efforts among global players to tackle this problem,as the perpetrator could be operating from anywhere in the world, The increase in Child Pornography is a matter of grave concern. Lack of awareness is as much responsible as the prevalence of exploitation. Children need to be taught about sexual exploitation. There needs to be more aware of the redressal as well. Victims must know whom to reach out to. In the current times of lockdown, domestic sexual abuse must not be ignored and the paedophilic mentality must be controlled. Children, from all backgrounds, must be protected against this evil. The primary steps towards raising more empowered children are forming a culture where they are treated as having informed self-agency, to answer their questions with facts and sensitivity and not in childish metaphors, and to make them understand and value their own privacy that has protecting their bodies in safe atmospheres.
Whatsapp is rolling out video, voice calling feature for desktop

Like smart phones, users will be able to make voice and video calls on desktop in the new features introduced by Whatsapp. From personal chats to professional work, Whatsapp has been an integral part of our lives. In the COVID-19 pandemic, Whatsapp played an important role in connecting friends and relatives. In a new development, Whatsapp has started rolling out the video and voice call feature for more desktop users, though the option is still in beta and not everyone will see it immediately. However, the new feature is in a rolling out process, some of the users who were able to access it; took to the Twitter to share the screenshot of the new feature. A Twitter user shared the screenshot of the latest Whatsapp feature. In the photo, voice and video call buttons with beta written over have appeared on the web version of the app. The user wrote that the feature is now available in Argentina. Earlier, in December 2020, WaBetaInfo reported, “Whatsapp is rolling out beta calls for specific users but unfortunately, being a beta feature; it’s available for very few peo-
ple." Therefore, let us understand how the voice call and video call features work for the users. How will the Whatsapp voice call from the desktop work? Ans. In this new feature, the users will be able to make voice calls on desktop like smart phones after the completion of the beta test. This feature will also give you the option of either accepting or declining the call. As of now, some of the users are able to see the option of making voice and video calls besides the search button at the top of the chat window.
How will the Whatsapp video call from desktop work? Ans. In this feature, the user will be able to make a video call in the desktop Whatsapp application. This will also give the option to accept or decline the call and will ask the permission from laptop to open the camera or not. So far, there is no such report of restriction on the call duration and the number of calls a user makes in a day. Currently, Whatsapp allows a mobile app to connect up to eight participants for a group chat as either a voice or a video call.

Have you ever wondered, what goes in the making of an author? Or a book? Bridging the divide, women’s economic empowerment
The Challenge
Advancement towards gender equality at work has slowed down since the 1990’s for three major reasons: a) People’s attitudes stopped becoming more gender egalitarian b) Occupations stopped gender integrating c) The gender wage gap decreased at slower rates.
Uneven and Stalled: Gender evolution
According to sociologist Paula England, the phenomena is called an ‘uneven and stalled’ gender evolution, and there are thousands and dozens of studies indicating in the feminist movement of 1970’s. The author describes sweeping changes in the gender system and offers explanations for why change has been uneven. The devaluation of activities shows that the timeline has changed gradually, since women had strong notions to enter male jobs.
The gender egalitarianism that gained attraction was the notion that women should have access to upward mobility and to all areas ofschooling and jobs.
How does this stalled revolution play out?
Women’s representation in management is higher than it’s ever been. Of the nearly 4.5 million new jobs in management created since 1980, women have obtained the majority of them. The rise in women’s representation in management has been accompanied by a large increase in the occupational gender segregation in managers. In the 1980’s, there were no women in the management sector. By 2010, we see that some occupations are female-led while others are male-led. Female managers are concentrated in fields that emphasize people- centered while men are concentrated in fields dealing with production-centered skills. Lastly, the occupations where female managers were concentrated by 2010 were also those with the largest gender-wage gaps.
The Composition of Man-
While the gender revolution may have stalled in recent decades, the management revolution remains in full swing. From 1980-2010, there was an increase of 4.5 million managers in the US(full time, not self employed and between the ages 18-25) a change of nearly 90%. Not only has the number of managers increased but the composition of management has also changed. Of the new management positions, 2.6 million were occupied by women and 1.9 by men. In other words, women make up the majority of new management jobs created from 1980 to 2010. And while men still make up the majority of managers in total, their share of 60% is far smaller than three-quarters they held in 1980. Along with that, diversity among women in management has improved albeit marginally.

Globally the share of women in senior management is increasing incrementally. In 2019, the proportion of women in senior management roles globally grew to 29%, the highest number ever recorded. In 2020, this percentage remains the same. Eighty-seven percent of global mid-market companies have at least one woman in a senior management role in 2020.

Women are over-represented in support functions like administration, while men tend to be engaged in operations, profit and loss, and research and development, all viewed as critical experiences for CEO and boardlevel positions. Managerial jobs differ tremendously in power, prestige and salary. The 2.6 million women who entered management between 1980-2010 are they evenly distributed? Or are they concentrated in certain occupations leaving others dominated by men? In 1980, not a single woman was working in management, although medical and health service managers came close. Even in fields with managed female employees, like education, it was mostly men who managed female employees. The general story from 1980, then, is that relatively few women worked as managers and those who did manage were in positions usually held by men. Turning to 2010, a good number of managerial occupations have become female-dominated. Medical and health service managers, who had the highest proportion of women in 1980, became female-dominated in 2010, as women now make up 70% of this category. Other management occupations that become majority female were education administrators, human resources, property and real estate, and finance. Along with that, a new occupation to emerge since 1980, I.e community and social service managers, is also majority women. Several positions, however, remain dominated by men. Women still make up less than one quarter of chief executives and public administrators.
Is this really a bad thing?
A way to answer this question is to look at how the concentration of women in some management occupations affect their wages. To move toward gender equality, it’s critical to recognize how patterns of disadvantage have shifted over time and respond proactively. Organizations that want to lead this charge will be those that go beyond the focus on gender representation and consider the way gender inequality is reproduced through patterns of segregation and pay gaps.

Polio Drive 2020-21 took off for a polio free Haryana In order to maintain the polio free status of the State, the National Immunization (NID) round of Pulse Polio 2020-21 started from January 31, 2021 in all districts of the State wherein booth activity is undertaken on the first day. Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson of the Health Department said that in view of present scenario of COVID-19 pandemic all health officers and front line workers are working with full precautions like use of personal protective equipment, wearing of masks, using sanitizers, gloves etc. He said that teams are following the hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene & social distancing measures. Sharing more details he said
that approximately 37 lakh children are to be covered during this campaign in the state. This campaign will continue for another two days by way of House-to-House activity. On the 1st day of activity, approximately 20 lakh (55%) children under 5 years of age have been administered polio drops. Divulging details of the campaign he said that in order to carry out this campaign, around 30,000 health teams comprising of health workers/ volunteers / Anganwari Workers/ASHA workers etc have been constituted. Approximately 1,500 mobile teams will be working during
the activity to cover all children in underserved and poorly approachable areas like brickkilns, construction sites, poultry farms, slums etc. Moreover, about 5,000 field supervisors and district level officers supervised the activity in all districts apart from Independent Monitors of NPSP-WHO. He further added that 22 state observers from DGHS & NHM offices have been deployed to monitor the campaign. This activity was preceded by undertaking awareness campaign through print media, miking, and other IEC activities.

Reflectors & reflective tape fixed on vehicles to ensure road safety
To ensure safety on roads in a systematic manner, Haryana Police conducted a month-long special drive, wherein reflectors and reflective tapes were affixed on more than 34,400 vehicles at 589 places across the state. ADGP (Law and Order), Navdeep Singh Virk said that fixing the reflectors on the rear and front side of a vehicle helps in instantly spotting and noticing a parked as well as slow moving vehicle on the road during foggy weather and in the darkness. This special drive, which concluded on January 5, 2021, was successful in engaging with a large number of road users in the state. Generally, light motor vehicles on the road have pre-installed reflectors and fog lights for improvement of visibility. But heavy vehicles and the other mode of transport like tractor-trolley, motor or bull cart etc. lack these features. Traffic and other field units, after the directions from Police Headquarter, had installed and pasted reflector strips on these and other vehicles vulnerable to accident to reduce possibilities of road accidents. As the reflectors prove instrumental in curtailing accidents to a large extent, Virk advised the people to get all their vehicles fitted with the reflectors to avoid any untoward incident especially during the dense foggy weather and at night.
Free books for SC students
Haryana government will provide free books to the students belonging to scheduled castes who are studying in government colleges across the State. Sharing more information in this regard, a spokesman of the Higher Education Department said that on behalf of the Director General of the Department, Principals of all the Government Colleges have been directed that the data of students belonging to the Scheduled Castes who will be getting money for buying books for the year 202021 by the Directorate should be verified and updated on college ERP-portal. In the data, verification of student’s SC class certificate, Haryana resident certificate, Aadhaar number and passing certificate should be done. He said that if the data is found authenticated then the amount to purchase books will be transferred to the students account.

The remaining children who were unable to receive polio drops during the booth activity today on January 31, 2021 will be administered polio vaccine drops on February 1 and February 2, 2021 through house-to-house visits by teams and through mobile teams in high risk areas like slums, isolated hutments, brick kilns, floating/ migrating population & construction sites, he added. It is important to know that due to consistent hard work of all stakeholder departments, Haryana is polio free since 2012 and with every successive round of NID/ SNID it is ensured that Polio free status of India is sustained. Active participation is solicited from General public also.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Pal Gurjar, inaugurated the ‘Beautification Project’ of the 'Parking and Pavement’ to be done at a cost of about Rs 14.5 crore in Transport Nagar in the presence of Haryana Transport Minister, Mool Chand Sharma, in Faridabad. He said that this parking has been built over an an area of 105 lakh square meters. Transport Nagar will have 72 booking agencies, 166 showrooms, 96 spare parts shops and 34 hotel bases. Addressing the occasion, Krishan Pal Gurjar said that no effort will be spared in
the development of District Faridabad. For the last 6 years, many development plans have been set up in the fields of education, medicine, roads, parks, construction of bridges over canals and over national highways, as well as metro services. Mool Chand Sharma said that during the tenure of the present government, development works are being undertaken regularly in the entire state. He said that due to facilities in Transport Nagar, people of every section including poor, and businessmen of the surrounding villages will get work.
Taking lead in effective implementation of the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccine roll out, Haryana Health Department has decided to observe January 25, 2021 as Covid-19 Vaccination Day and it was celebrated at various vaccination sites across the state today. Moreover, on this day the Health Department has administered COVID-19 vaccine to 33,215 Health Care Workers (HCWs). Health Minister, Anil Vij congratulated the Health Department for effective implementation of the COVID-19 vaccine roll out. He said it has been possible due to persistent efforts of the Department.
Sharing more details in this regard, Additional Health Secretary, Rajeev Arora said that Haryana is one of the leading States in Covid-19 vaccination coverage. Taking further steps to ensure better implementation of the drive the Department has decided to observe January 25, 2021 as COVID-19 Vaccination Day with an ambitious target of administering more than 30,000 doses of the vaccine to Health Care Workers. It is a matter of great satisfaction that today Haryana has achieved 33,215 against set target of 30,000 for January 25, 2021, he said. Divulging more details he said that Haryana is set to com-
plete Covid-19 vaccination of all registered Health Care Workers (HCWs) except those who cannot be given vaccine as per guidelines (pregnant and lactating women, persons who are allergic to any vaccine). Thus, till date, Haryana has vaccinated 1,05,401 Health care workers. In coming few days all registered and eligible beneficiaries will be vaccinated. The vaccine drive was launched on January 16, 2021 by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Soon after the launch by the Prime Minister, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal also congratulated the people of the state.

Penalty of Rs.2.25 Crore levied on builders for unauthorised construction
Taking action against the erring builders, Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Gurugram has imposed a penalty of Rs. 2.25 crore on M/s SPS Homes Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd, M/s Vistaar Group Pvt Ltd and M/s Royal Infra Buildtech Pvt Ltd for violation of Section 3 (1) of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and has directed demolition of unauthorized construction by Municipal Corporation, Gurugram. The bench presided over by Dr. K.K Khandelwal, Chairman, HARERA (Gurugram), took a stern view that penalty needs to be imposed on the builders and decided to impose a penalty of Rs. 1 crore, Rs. 75 lakh and Rs. 50 lakh
respectively on the errant builders. Further, an intimation has been sent to the Commissioner, MCG for demolishing the unauthorized construction in the projects. Sharing details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that no promoter shall advertise, market, book, sell or offer for sale, or invite persons to purchase in any manner any plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in any real estate project or part of it, in any planning area, without registering the real estate project with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority established under this Act.
