OUR MISSION The mission of The Ashley Lauren Foundation is to provide “Hope and Help for Children with Cancer in New Jersey”.

WE NEED YOU… so that no time is lost in being able to meet vital needs.

WE NEED YOU… so that we can alleviate the burden when a financial need arises WE NEED YOU… so that each family knows that they are not alone and have our continued support.

WE NEED YOU… to support us in helping these children through an ordeal that no child should have to face.

Unlike national organizations that fund research, we are an independent, New Jersey-based non-profit organization, working hands-on with each family. We depend on the support of the community-at-large in order to provide immediate relief for the daily burdens thrust upon those who are battling pediatric cancer.

The goal of The Ashley Lauren Foundation is to ease the journey when pediatric cancer is diagnosed by providing Direct Financial Assistance (household services lost in a crisis situation, bills and medications not paid through medical insurance, traveling expenses to and from hospitals, funeral expenses, etc.); Material Assistance ( food, clothing, household items); Emotional Support ( for the entire family); Special Outings and Parties for the Children; Advocacy; “Making Dreams Come True” Program; Butterfly Birthday Brigade and anything else that is needed to make their lives easier.

The Ashley Lauren Foundation ensures that young adults ages 18-21 are provided the same services afforded the youngest patient.

holds events for the children and their families to enjoy themselves. Making special wishes come true for these unfortunate children helps ease their pain. They also provide birthday and Christmas presents so the children know they are important.

The mission of this great charity is to offer assistance and hope to the children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The emotional and financial assistance they provide eases the burden for these families during this difficult time in their lives. They also acknowledge the emotional needs of the children and provide special events in which the children can feel like “kids” and escape the day to day stresses of fighting this horrific disease. OUR BEGINNINGS In February 1991, my daughter Ashley Lauren was a typical, energetic three-year-old, adored by her family.

When Ashley’s diagnosis of Stage 3 Wilms Tumor (kidney cancer) came, our lives were shattered. After losing her left kidney and adrenal gland to the disease, Ashley endured many grueling years of chemotherapy, radiation and their effects.

Having lived through the unexpected hardships of pediatric cancer, I realized how important the need for support was during this difficult time and thus founded The Ashley Lauren Foundation. My passion is to reach out with a focused vision of hope and help to other families throughout the State of New Jersey that are coping with the same difficulties.

For every parent who has heard the words, ‘Your child has cancer’, it is a moment frozen in time. In one shattering instant, life forever changes.

Coping with pediatric cancer is one of the most distressing events that a family has to face. They are thrown into a world of unfamiliar and uncertain terrain.

The Ashley Lauren Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization incorporated with the State of New Jersey on July 6, 2005, was founded because of a passion to make a difference in the lives of these families. The desire to help others facing the same daily battle of pediatric cancer is held by all of those associated with The Ashley Lauren Foundation.

( formerly Kidz-4-Kidz) is the theatrical arm of The Ashley Lauren Foundation, founded in 2005 by Ashley Lauren Vermeulen and her friend Kate Napoli. The Ensemble, which consists of 100 members ages 7 through 27, use their artistic talents to make a difference in the lives of children suffering from cancer.
