BALLYDUFF LOTTO RESULTS The results of the Ballyduff GAA Club weekly Lotto draw for Monday March 22nd are as follows: The numbers drawn were 4, 11, 31 & 32. The Lotto Jackpot of €1,700 was not won and the following won €50 each:  Nathan Enright, Causeway Ann Quinlan, Ballyduff Mick/Mary Ashe, Dublin   TV DRAW: Eileen Dee, Derryra Sineád O’Donnell, Bandon (Online) Joan Houlihan, Lacca West (Online) The Lotto Draw continues each Monday night at the Ballyduff GAA Clubhouse with €100 added to the Jackpot when it’s not won. CHURCH NEWS All public Masses are cancelled until further notice. As the Easter Vigil was in Ballyduff last year it will be in Causeway this year. Holy Week: While visiting the Churches during Holy Week, please ensure social distancing. This is especially important when visiting Good Friday to say the Stations of the Cross. Please be responsible, wear a mask and use the hand sanitiser provided as you enter and leave the Church. Leap of Faith: In times of transition an online Workshop for Young Adults, 18 – 30 years on April 8th 7,30pm. – 9.00pm. led by Jerry & Miriam Hussey. Planned by the Diocese of Kerry “Youth Dok”. The walk can be done anytime between St. Patrick’s Day & Good Friday, 2nd April. All monies raised in Kerry stay in Kerry. You can donate to www.iDonate.ie/LongGoodFriday. CHURCH ARRANGEMENTS Masses at both St Michael the Archangel Church in Ballylongford and St Mary’s Church in Asdee will continue on to be celebrated privately behind closed doors by Rev. Fr. Michael Hussey P.P. The continuation of these level 5 restrictions will once again prevent Fr. on having a congregation at his daily or Week-end Masses in any of our two churches in the Parish. HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES: All ceremonies for Holy Week will be live streamed and can be viewed online, Ceremonies will be live streamed from St Mary’s Church in Tarbert and can be viewed by logging onto the Church website stmarystarbert.com. The following are the times in which the Ceremonies will be aired live, Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper-7pm. Good Friday:Celebration of the Passion-3pm (Day of Fast and abstinence). Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil-6pm. Easter Sunday: Mass-11.30am. Also Easter Ceremonies are streamed live from St John’s Church Ballybunion by going to St John’s church Ballybunion Facebook page. TROCAIRE BOXES: The three strands of Lent are Prayer, Fasting and giving help to those in need. In Ireland, for many years, this has been exemplified in support for Trocaire which this year looks for our special help for those in need in South Sudan. Trocaire boxes and envelopes are on a special table at the back of both churches. There is also a Trocaire envelope in your Parish box. EASTER GREETINGS It is most unfortunate that we should have a second Easter in lockdown due to this Covid 19 pandemic. However, keep the chin up and we will get through these difficult times provided we all comply with the health and Government Guidelines. Who would have thought this time last year that we would be in lockdown 12 months later?

CLUB MEMBERSHIP: Ballylongford GAA membership for 2021 can now be paid online through the GAA’s Foireann website at returntoplay.gaa.ie. This is the same website where the health questionnaires were filled out before training & matches during the latter end of 2020. While we will not be back playing football for a while, membership is necessary for insurance coverage when we do return. If you have not already registered on this system, you

will have to register with a username and password and assign Ballylongford GAA as your club. Once logged in, you will see the membership tab on the left hand side, click on this and you will see the different membership options available. Click on ‘register’ with the membership option applicable to you; you will be taken to a secure payments link (operated by Stripe) and your payment can be made here by card, directly to the club. Membership for 2021 is as follows: - Adult Player = €30. Adult Non Player = €30. Student = €30.Family 2adults /+ Kids (under 18yrs) = €50. Social Member = €20 Payment can also be given to Chairman John Joe Walsh or Secretary Caroline O’Connor. WALK PATH: The Walk path around the pitch is open to the public and we welcome everyone in the locality to use it. However, the Club has been informed that people using the path, unless being a member of the club are NOT covered by public liability insurance. We have Social Membership available for €20 and this will cover you under our clubs insurance. Closing date for Member 31st March 2021. COVID-19 SUPPORT LINE ALONE manages a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024. RECOVERY HAVEN Cancer Support House operates through Level 5. As we are in an extended period of lockdown and restrictions, people are understandably incredibly anxious, worried and finding it more difficult to cope. This is particularly true for the more vulnerable in society - among them, cancer patients, their families and careers. At Recovery Haven Kerry, we want to reassure you that we are still here for you. While taking every precaution advised, we are here to offer emotional support and practical help to those affected by cancer, their families or carers. While much of our group and therapy work is currently on hold due to Covid 19, we are still offering phone support, counselling and a range of online classes - Stretch and balance, yoga, Pilates, stress management, mindfulness, look good feel better programme, men’s support group. TARBERT POST OFFICE A note in from Michelle at Tarbert Post Office to remind everybody that she has a large selection of Easter Greeting Cards from Ballylongford available at the post office should anybody like to send a special Easter Wish to Family, Friends or Neighbours this year. They also stock a selection of greeting cards, envelopes, mailing bags and boxes.
