LISTOWEL TIDY TOWNS ANNUAL CLEAN UP

It’s that time of the year again. Listowel Tidy Towns are calling for all hands on deck. This year Listowel’s Tidy Towns Annual Clean Up week is preceeded by county Clean Up day where Listowel Tidy Towns group in association with Kerry Waste Disposal Co. (KWD) are organising a Clean Up of all approach roads to Listowel on Saturday april 2nd. Our approach roads are a big welcome to any town and Listowel is no different. Volunteers are asked to meet at St. John’s in the Square at 8am. The following are the arranged meeting points for Listowels Tidy Towns annual clean-up: Monday 4th April Town park car park Tuesday 5th April College Cross (near garage) Wednesday 6th April Convent Cross (near car park) Thursday 7th April Car Park across from Cinema Friday 8th April Carroll’s Yard car park Please come along to any of the mentioned meeting points and do your bit for a tidier Listowel. We are all responsible for the environment. Take a little responsibility for your actions and show a good example to others. Put that sweet paper in your pocket, be aware of where you drop your cigarette butt and when walking your dog don’t forget to scoop the poop. Dog fouling is also illegal. This year Listowel Tidy Towns are appealing to everyone to get involved in this year’s Clean-up and make it the success it should be. This is also a good time for residents associations to meet up and organise their own clean-ups. The success of these ventures depends solely on numbers, so please come along, be part of a team and do your bit for a cleaner, more inviting place to live.
