Luberon's reputation is well founded. It is a long-time favourite among property buyers who want to explore the charm of the medieval hilltop villages, picturesque rolling vineyards and olive groves, ancient Roman ruins and castles, bustling markets, and spectacular countryside filled with poppies, sunflowers and lavender. Luberon has all the assets that have made the splendid region one of the most sought after in the South of France. The relatively large area includes precious villages like Gordes, MĂŠnerbes and Bonnieux, which define the famous “Golden Triangle" for property investment. Gordes, facing Luberon Natural Park, is Provence's visually most stunning perched village. It boasts a myriad of

narrow and cobbled streets and stone houses that have been pristinely restored with period archways and doorways. The panoramic views from many of its locations are among the most beautiful in Provence – rolling hills, vineyards, fields of poppies and lavender. The town offers an imposing medieval castle that was rebuilt in Renaissance style in the 16th century, Museum Pol Mara, restaurants, wineries, art galleries and workshops of many local artisans. With easy access to the TGV in Avignon, approximately 40 kilometres away, and Marseille International Airport, approximately 75 kilometres away, Gordes is ideally located for a holiday home or a permanent move.
