LEVIN Panthers (red) defender Oliver Parrant stops a charge by Paraparaumu players in the 10th grade competition played at Donnelly Park in Levin on Saturday. Rain during the game added to the entertainment for supporters up and down the side line. Unfortunately a late goal by Paraparaumu put the Panthers on the back foot, and they lost 5-4.

Old Boys just too tough for Foxton

The Horowhenua-Kapiti premier grade produced another round of entertaining games at the weekend with Levin College Old Boys coming back from a one point loss last week to a dominating win over Foxton, 30-5. The half time score was 10-5 to Old Boys.

produced another superb game and possibly another record breaking score for the second week in a row, with a 52-0 win over Waikanae. Toa also continued their good form with a win over Shannon 37-22, Athletic lost 53-5 to Paraparaumu.

Round nine of the club season will be played on Saturday with College Old Boys playing Athletic at Playford Park, Waikanae take on Wanderers at Levin Domain, Parparaumu play Foxton at Eastern Park and Shannon have the bye.
