Profiles: Mico welcomes new Senior Showroom Consultant Sharon Findlay to the team, who brings 19 years’ industry experience and a passion for bathroom design. The local mum of two, who has completed several courses in bathroom design including an NKBA Bathroom Design Program, says she has a passion for the function and style that can be created in the smallest room of the house. “I love solving people’s problems, such as needing more storage, wanting easy clean, or requiring special needs,” she explains. With extensive product knowledge and a dedication to meeting individual customer needs, Sharon says she has a vast understanding of the products out there.

Sharon, who has lived on the coast for 20 years following a shift from Australia, says she enjoys the people contact in her role, as well as the creative challenges it brings. “I am pleased and proud to join the Mico team, where I’ve been given the opportunity to focus entirely on bathrooms, an area I thrive in and love.”
“This means I can bring customers’ wish lists together to create the bathroom of their dreams.”
Mico’s creative thinking Senior Showroom Consultant, Nicola Goodman, who has worked for the company for 7 years, says her role is about making people fall in love with their space. “I make sure people go out with the right products they need,” she says. “You’re quite vulnerable in your bathroom, what you do there is obviously quite personal and it’s a space you really have to feel confident and comfortable in. That’s something we focus on; ensuring people have the right products for how they use their space.” A Kapiti local, Nicola joined the team at Mico after 15 years in England working in real estate, which she left to come back to New Zealand with her new family. “I’ve gone from selling the whole house to selling a small part of it and really focusing on a specialist area,” she says. “We’re not qualified designers, or qualified plumbers, but if
people are struggling to find the right products to go in their space - if they can’t visualize it - we will go out and help them find the right products on site to tie in with their house and individual needs.” Nicola says the team is looking forward to meeting local ladies at their upcoming A Night on the Tiles event, set for Wednesday 30th October from 6.30pm8pm at the showroom. “Come and enjoy an evening with wine, nibbles and the latest inspiring bathroom trends and tips,” she says.” “The Tile Warehouses’ Architectural Rep, Clare, will be there to share her knowledge, as will Crest Showers’ Regional Sales Manager, Michael, who’ll tell you everything you need to know about tile shower systems.” “RSVP to the showroom by 24 October 2013 as spaces are strictly limited. We’d love to see you there!”
