Kapiti Massage Therapy has been open on the Kapiti Coast for 15 years, seeing its last 7 years at Waikanae’s Devoir Waxing Clinic. Therapist, Dianne Lavin, has 15 years’ experience on hand, after obtaining a Diploma in Health Science, specialising in Applied Therapies. Dianne says most commonly, massage is used to correct imbalances in the musculature of the body. “Generally this can be caused from overuse activities, bad habits and life’s stresses,” she explains. “Whether it is headaches, pain or general discomfort, massage can be of great benefit. The ultimate reason for a massage though, is general relaxation to unwind and switch off.” Whether it is treatment for your back, neck and shoulders, or full body or total relaxation, a massage from Kapiti Massage Therapy will be designed for you individually. Dianne says they also have special prices available for school age children. “Massage can be used on its own for personal health care, general relaxation or to complement the work of other health care modalities such as physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic sport and fitness training.”
