Brightwater Motors continues to thrive as a busy local business and new owners Mike and Chris are looking forward to making their mark on the store and workshop. Previous owners Tom and Melanie Horncastle spent 21 years servicing their local community and extend a massive thank you to their loyal customers for supporting them through all those years and being a part of so many good times. They appreciate the good life they’ve had as owners of Brightwater Motors, as well as the long standing friendships that have been made along the way. A lot has changed in Brightwater since their ownership began in 1996 but their regular disappearances over September and October for the white baiting season haven’t. Mike and Chris took over the business on May 1 this year but their short ownership has already resulted in many changes as they work to make the business their own. Brightwater Motors are still proud to offer the local com-

munity a one stop shop for vehicle repairs, maintenance, fuel, tyres as well as coffee and food to go, dairy and grocery items fishing bait, ice and snow chains which are available for hire. With a service station, shop and fully equipped workshop, Brightwater Motors welcomes visitors who are just travelling through and need to fuel up and local daily drivers needing a coffee to go in the mornings or some last minute items on the way home. The workshop team provide a range of mechanical services on petrol and diesel vehicles. They can service, maintain and repair anything that gets brought to them and will give any job a go. “It’s a bit of a country garage so we cater for all sorts, it’s all part of the job. I’ve got an engineering background and I’ve been working in this industry since I left school so I’ve got over 30 years of experience,” says Mike. The workshop is managed by himself and their foreman Tim with the assistance of two other technicians, Andrew and Frank. Mike says their supreme customer service is an important element in setting them apart. “We can’t be beaten on customer service.

Mike and Chris love being in Brightwater.
