Gary De Pina
Gary is the go-to-guy when it comes to anything involving the Collision Repair Industry after 34 years in the trade. Gary completed his apprenticeship as a refinisher/painter at Motor Inn Panel Beaters (which Hammonds then bought out in 1990) in 1987 before moving on to Nui Ngakau in 2002 as a tutor, training students for the Collision Repair Industry, for 18 months. In late 2003 Gary took up the role of Shop Manager at New Brighton Panel Beaters for 8 years but due to the 2011 February Earthquakes this business ceased trading. Gary then took up the role as estimator for Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters for a period before moving on to Ferrymead Panel and Paint as estimator, as well. As of 2016, Gary returned to QEII Collision Repairs Ltd (previously Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters) as Manager and has since achieved his Platinum Certificate.
Shanel has worked behind the scene s of the Collision Repair Industry for 14 years as a Business Administrator and the past year as Administrator/Business Owner of QEII Collision Repairs Ltd. In 1988 Shanel began working for Kmar t Hastings in the Retail service secto r before acquiring her Diploma of Business & Manageme nt in 1990 and moving to Christchur ch to continue working at Kmart Riccarton as a Trainee Mana ger. By 1992 Shanel had been prom oted to Manager at Kmart Riccarton, Papatoeoe, The Palms Shirley stores and again Riccarton when she decided that she wanted a change out of the retail scene . In 2001 Shanel moved on to iDisp atch where she became supervisor in Communications. (This was the same year she also met her husband Paul Perry who is currently also her Business Partner at QEII Collision Repairs Ltd.) In 2003 Shanel went to visit Hubby at work (Terry Stevenson Panel Beate rs) for lunch and she hasn’t left the Collision Repair Industry since. After working 2 jobs for a year she decided she wanted to continue working in the Collision Repair Industry and stepped back from iDispatch in 2004. When the opportunity arose to purchase the business, Shanel & Paul took the opportunity and established QEII Collis ion Repairs Ltd in 2016.
Nikkola De Pina
Nikky works part-time for QEII Collision Repairs in administration as well as working part-time for her father’s electrical business, also in administration. Nikky is the lovely wife of Gary De Pina and has 20+ years’ experience in administration.
QEII Collision Repairs Limited was established in June 2016 by Shanel Tiopira and Paul Perry after taking over a previously established Collision Repair Shop. QEII Collision Repairs Ltd are active members of the Collision Repair Association (CRA) as well as the Motor Trade Association (MTA) and are respected, approved repairers to various Insurance Companies including but not limited to IAG, Tower, AMI, Lumley, NZI, NAC, State and Lantern Insurance. To retain a contract as an approved repairer with Insurance companies, requires the business to maintain a certain amount of training through approved training agencies for all staff. Thanks to I-Car as well as MTA, QEII Collision Repairs Ltd has successfully assisted two employees reach a goal of a Silver Certificate and Platinum Certificate over the past year. We would like to acknowledge RJP Panel & Paint Supplies, Kaiapoi for supplying all the paint that went into designing, refurbishing, and creating our fleet of “cool soda”-blue courtesy cars. Alongside RJP, we would also like to thank Paul and his team at SignBiz for all our courtesy vehicle signage as well as our customised building signage. Finally, we would like to take the opportunity to thank the community for their on-going support in their local business. Each year we give back to the community by making donations to the local primary schools as well as the Kid’s Foundation and Children’s Hospital.
Stewart Fitzgerald
Stewart was a part of the Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters Team as of early 2014 as a Labourer/Groomer before quickly taking up the opportunity of becoming a labourer in the Panel Shop. After a few months experience in the panel shop, Stewart moved on to the paint shop as a laboure r before deciding he wanted to start his own business. Although Stewart no longer works in the Collision Repair Industry, he still shows his support consistently by offering his new business venture services to us and to our customers. In 2016, Stewart established his own Vehicle Towing Business ‘Christchurch Towing Services’ which we use when customers vehicles are not drivable and this includes Insurance work as well. Early 2017, QEII Collision Repairs Ltd sponsored Stewart to enter a demolition derby using one of our retired courtes y vehicles and to our utmost joy, Stewart won! We couldn’t be prouder of how far Stewart has come today and we thank the support we continue to receive from him and his business.
David Woodham
14 Victoria was employed by Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters when she was in 2011, while she was still at school during the holidays, as a car detailer & shop labourer. Spring of 2012 Victoria moved to Hokitika and went on to work at the Hokitika Glass Studio when she decided to add a little to adventure to her life while she was still young. In 2013 Victoria decided at return to Christchurch to make NCEA her main priority alongside working and McDonalds Part-Time. Victoria completed NCEA Level 1, 2 & 3 by 2015 decided to leave school early and continue working at McDonalds Fulltime. suit Victoria had a gorgeous little boy in 2016 and decided shift work didn’t tive her family anymore and went on to work as a telemarketing representa and for a few months. Telemarketing wasn’t what she enjoyed so she left returned to QEII Collision Repairs Ltd (previously Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters) as a Car Detailer & Shop Labourer and eventually was promoted into the role of Financial Administrator at the beginning of 2017.
Steve began his journey through the Collision Repair Industry in 1991 at Prestine Panel & Paint where he started his Spray Painting Apprenticeship. A year later, Steve transferred to City Panel & Paint as a refinisher for 3 years. In 1996 Steve took over the business and established “Steve’s Autospray”. Steve went on to expand his family in 1998 and a lot of time goes in to running such a big business so he decided to let it go and became a manager at Auto Body Refinishers for 3 years. Until present, Steve has offered his expertise of Spray Painting to various business’ before coming to work for QEII Collision Repairs Ltd in 2016 as a Spray Painter.
In 2007 Josh decided his passion of cars was enough to pursue a career in the Collision Repair Industry and completed his Panel & Paint Pre-Trade through SIT, Wigram. Josh was employed by Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters at the beginning of 2016 as a Car Groomer/Labourer before being offered a MITO Refinishing/ Painting Apprenticeship at the beginning of 2017 with QEII Collision Repairs Ltd.
Dave has 30 years Panel Beating exper ience behind him and continues to upskill his knowledge in the Collision Repair Indus try to achieve his Bronze Certificate. In 1978 Dave undertook his Panel Beating Apprenticeship at Chassis Repairs Christchurch before venturing off into the world travelling & working overseas in 1984 for 3 years . On return, Dave went back to contract Panel Beating for Chassis Repairs until 1999 . After 12 years of Panel Beating Dave decided he wanted a complete change of scene ry, so he moved on to sales for 6 years. When returning to the Collision Repair Industry, Dave worked for Atkin Collision Repairs before being empl oyed by Terry Stevenson Panel Beate rs in 2015 and was then offered a position at QEII Collision Repairs Ltd in June 2016 .

Leofard Galacia
Leofard graduated high school in the Philippines in 1995 and had already decided to pursue a career in the Collision Repair Industry. Leo gained his Spray Painting and Panel Beating Certificate while still at high school and began work immediately at the Mercedes Benz Factory in the Philippines. Leo worked here for 4 years before moving on to work for the Toyota Factory, also in the Philippines for another 8 years. Following this, Leo transferred to another Toyota Factory in Qatar for another 8 years before deciding to move to New Zealand in 2014. In 2014 Leo was taken under the wing by Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters as a Spray Painter before continuing his contract with QEII Collision Repairs Ltd in 2016.
Wilfredo Salazaar
Wilfredo has worked in many different environments of the Collision Repair Industry over the past 29 years. Wilfredo graduated high school in 1988 with a Panel Beating Certificate and went on to work for multiple Panel Beating businesses in the Philippines for a period of years, the longest being 6 years at a Nissan Dealership. Wilfredo then wanted to develop more knowledge in the Collision Repair Industry so moved his sights on to Panel Beating in Saudi Arabia for 6 years. With such an intense lifestyle, Wilfredo wished to find somewhere more comfortable to work and moved to New Zealand in 2015 where he was hired by Terry Stevenson Panel Beaters. Wilfredo then went on to continue working for QEII Collision Repairs Ltd in 2016.

Chrissy is the baby of the pack, only beginning mid-2017 as Labourer/Groomer at QEII Collision Repairs part-time. Chrissy is a proud Grand-mother of 2 beautiful boys and enjoys pottering around the workshop and still having time to see them.
