All right, you’ve been healthy so far this issue. Now it’s time for some liquid dessert. It’s Thursday, and you are just sitting on bottles of booze with little more than a finger in each. What’s a girl (or guy) to do? Get creative and try a hand at some mixology. Here are some little-known hacks for spicing up plain old liquor or combining all that leftover alcohol into something a little more appetizing. Here are five recipes that might just put that leftover liquor to good use. Now all that’s left is picking out the movie and inviting a few pals.

Adult Popsicles: Summer is coming and it’s calling your name. Just gather up all that leftover rum and make a cool treat for a lazy Saturday afternoon or whenever you feel like taking this childhood favorite to the next level.

• 2 1/2 cups of Coke • 1/3 cup Spiced Rum • 1/3 cup Kahlua • Popsicle sticks • Popsicle mold or plastic cups The Harvey Wallbanger: 1) Mix ingredients Named for a Hollywood surfer, this cocktail and pour into a usually requires some special ingredients, but you can make do with what you’ve got above the popsicle mold. 2) Freeze for two fridge. hours or until the mixture is solid enough • Vodka to hold the popsicle stick • Orange juice upright. • Cream liqueur or Bailey’s *Note: It’s best to use flat Coke • Sparkling wine. because this allows the popsicle to stay 1) Mix it all up into a glass and serve over ice. frozen longer (and what’s a better way to use up that leftover soda?).

The Manhattan:

A lot normally goes into stirring up a proper Manhattan, but there’s a way to get good results with what’s on hand. • Whiskey (Scotch is better if you’ve got it) • Half a glass of red wine (Best with Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon) • Lemon/lime soda 1) Mix together and serve in a wine glass.

Aztec: • Sparkling wine • Watermelon Schnapps • Gold tequila 1) Pour ingredients into together and serve in a Champagne flute.

Cabernet Cobbler: • Cabernet Sauvignon • Soda water • Sugar • Lemon juice 1) Combine the sugar, lemon juice and soda water in a wine glass and then add wine and ice.
