Health and Wellbeing
Our aim is to help you achieve your very best and grow into a successful and confident individual equipped with all the tools needed for your next step. We take health, safety and wellbeing very seriously and want every student to thrive and be happy.
The College promotes healthy living and we are lucky to be situated in a rural town offering plenty of fresh air and green space both on campus and in the surrounding area. We are a short walk from the meadows by the River Thames that offer a tranquil space for outdoor study. There are lots of opportunities for students to be involved in sport and fitness with a range of sports available through our Enrichment programme (page 48) and we also have a contemporary fitness room/gym in our Sports Hall, which was opened in 2012. Wellbeing is our priority and our caring and professional staff offer specialist guidance and support, including counselling and welfare. We understand that some students may at times face additional challenges, whether at college or at home, and we are always there to listen, support and help them to work through any problems they may be facing.
OTIS THE WELFARE DOG
In 2020 we were delighted to welcome Otis, the College’s Welfare Dog. Otis is a regular face around the campus and is an enthusiastic and affectionate member of the college community, who always welcomes strokes and cuddles from students and staff!
