TEXAS TECH VS. THE SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE Texas Tech is 49-18 all-time against current members of the Southland Conference. Tech has already played Southland member Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2-1) this season and will also be playing at Texas State (4/18). Tech has played against eight Southland Conference schools, including UT Arlington (19-4), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-3), Texas State (6-6), UTSA (5-1), Central Arkansas (2-0), Sam Houston State (2-3), Lamar (1-0) and Stephen F. TAKING A LOOK BACK Texas Tech suffered its first sweep against Oklahoma in Norman since 2005, as the Sooners defeated Tech 10-1, 11-1 and 8-5 in the series finale. ON THE HORIZON Texas Tech returns home to take on nationally-ranked Texas A&M this weekend, April 8-10, at Dan Law Field. The series starts Friday (6:30 p.m.) and continues Saturday (5 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.). Then Tech will begin its longest road trip of the season playing nine straight on the road.
