Tie on a larger slab and move it very slow off the bottom in water depths of 30 feet or greater. The fish will be hugging the bottom and as the water temperature cools to the low 50s, they will be very lethargic. The bite will often be nothing more than a light tick or often you just feel dead weight on the end of your line. When in doubt set the hook and hold on!
