I couldn’t wait to tell you when I made it to the shed that morning cut you off before you could call out Kia ora I couldn’t wait to tell you Kāpiti Island disappeared that morning like someone picked it up and moved it white cloud had dropped down in front of Kāpiti like a white roller blind and if I hadn’t driven that road so many times before then I would never have known Kāpiti was supposed to be there at all
