WATCH THE SYDNEY SWING KATZ The Sydney Swing Katz is one of Australia’s Premier swing dancing performance troupes. Their spectacular and extravagant floorshows replicate the dance styles done in the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s – Charleston, Swing, Lindy Hop, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Established in 2000, this troupe of talented, vibrant, young and enthusiastic Sydney dancers will have you grooving in your seat!

EZRA LEE Ezra Lee was a member of Australian rock ‘n’ roll band, The Blues Cowboys and since 2009 has toured Europe and the UK many times with his own band The Ezra Lee Trio. He is an Australian singer-songwriter who has performed internationally supporting the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis and Wanda Jackson. The Ezra Lee Trio recorded a tribute album to Jerry Lee Lewis called “Copycat Killer” and is set to be released this year with special guest, Scotty Baker as well as the album “One More Chance”, a collection of songs were written by Daddy Cool’s drummer Gary Young. Erza Lee and his band will be performing an up close and personal show at Mingara on Friday night. For ticket sales phone 0414 938 623.

WHAT’S ON IN THE OLD TIN SHED? All the way from Queensland, the Fresh Stylz Lowrider car club will be on site sharing some interesting facts on all things Lowrider. Come and say hi to Spinner!
Sharpen your looks with a visit to the El Reaper Barbers or prop your foot up and let the professional shoe shiners, polish, buff and shine your shoes. Make sure to view one of the Vintage speedway cars on display and gather around for an engine start up.
The Rustees team will be at The Old Tin Shed displaying their new Hot Rod projects and Hot Rod artwork designs. Grab a beer from the can bar, a bite to eat and kick back and enjoy the live entertainment.
The Flattrakkers are a toe-tappin’, high octane three piece rockabilly band performing Saturday live on stage. Sunday will see The Rattlesnakes kick off the day. This three piece outfit offer infectious and highly danceable rockabilly and ol’ school rock ‘n’ roll.

LOWRIDER SUNDAY WHAT IS LOWRIDER SUNDAY
The biggest Lowrider meet in the country where all clubs and solo riders unite from all over Australia to showcase the Lowrider scene and lifestyle. The Lowriders will be on display from 9.00am on Sunday at Picnic Point – just a short stroll from Memorial Park.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT LOWRIDER SUNDAY
When you walk into Picnic Point you will be hit with a one of a kind atmosphere with music that vibes with the scene. Witness car clubs battling for bragging rights with the annual tug of war at 11.00am and the car hopping spectacle at 12.00pm. There will be a great selection of food and trade stalls, and even a skate park and jumping castles for the kids. Rolling works of art will also be on display.
HOW TO ENTER LOWRIDER SUNDAY
People interested in entering their car or bike must like the Lowrider Sunday FB page @lowridersunday where photos and a brief description must be posted for approval. There will be four categories on the day. Entry fee is $20 payable on the day at the gate.
FUN FACT – WHAT IS A LOWRIDER?
A Lowrider is a distinct class or style of customized vehicle. These customized vehicles are generally individually painted with intricate, colourful designs rolling on wire-spoke wheels with whitewall tyres and Lowrider rims. These cars are fitted with hydraulic or air bag systems that allow the vehicle to be raised or lowered at the owner’s command. The Lowrider car is as much about culture and lifestyle as it is about the vehicle itself. The Lowrider spectrum is not about engine performance it’s about what you’ve got in your trunk. 13

VINTAGE GLAMOUR FASHIONS Calling all guys and gals, the Vintage Glamour Fashion Parade will be held on Sunday in Memorial Park. The parade will be held on the dance floor in front of the Unity Bank Stage, starting at 12.00pm. It’s your time to shine on the centre stage at ChromeFest!

For vintage hair enthusiasts of all skill levels who wish to learn how to create a variety of updo’s. You’ll be learning four different vintage styles, the Poodle hairstyle made famous by Lucille Ball, the Gibson roll at the back, Victory rolls and the Bumper Bangs (a quick and easy technique that gives that Bettie Page vibe).
