Mark Kopua Indigenous Art Space is a storehouse for indigenous Māori knowledge as well as a place where our traditional stories are activated, physically on skin through the receiving of tāmoko as well as in print. The studio walls are lined with prints of atua Māori that like the tukutuku in a meeting house show us the blueprint of how we connect to our whakapapa and history through our creative arts.
