“Fish On” fish sculptures are each individually carved from real fish, then meticulously testfitted to assure proper skin alignment, fin unions and tail junction. Choosing the Right Form For Your Fish Step 1
Take accurate measurements of your fish.
Step 2 Evaluate the condition of the specimen. Some fish, especially post-spawn fish, usually have loose skin which can fill out beyond the girth they actually measure. Step 3 Choose your form. When deciding between two forms, remember that by going slightly shorter in body length you can actually gain in girth measurement. The opposite is also true. Note: For a perfect seam The measurements listed are the actual measurements of the body. When measuring your fish before skinning you need to measure over the skin. Walleyes, for example, have a particularly thick skin which could measure as much as 1/2”- 3/4” larger in circumference.
The Predator series are anatomically accurate and highly detailed manikins to make your fish taxidermy faster, more productive and more profitable. Although created from actual fish of each species with only minor alterations (if any) the bodies can be used for either Muskies or Northerns.
