Buttery, golden mince pies are one of the joys of Christmas. This year our Finest Mince Pies come with a splash of Cognac and are a real treat, and we also have some great Free From options made with rich, gluten-free pastry, too. They’re lovely served at room temperature, but I think a mince pie is even more delicious warmed up. They just need gentle heating in the oven to bring out the flavours of the filling, plus you also get a wonderful festive aroma throughout the house as they bake. For that extra indulgence, I love serving mine with rich clotted cream or a brandyflavoured cream. Or pairing it with a slice or two of marzipan or cheese – both go brilliantly with the fruitiness of the pie – it’s the perfect afternoon snack.
