8 ways to keep your family sun safe With top advice from Nivea Sun and Cancer Research UK, you can keep safe in the sun, at home and abroad

SLAP IT ON

When the family is getting dressed, look for areas that aren’t covered by clothes and apply sunscreen. Put plenty on and reapply often. Adults and kids should use sunscreen with at least SPF15 and four or more stars for protection against the two main types of UV rays.

3

AIM FOR SHADE

One of the best ways to protect your skin is to spend time in the shade. Look for full shade, rather than dappled trees. If you’re sitting under an umbrella in the garden, make sure you move it (or yourself) as the sun shifts.
