1 PICCOLO Sweet without being sugary, Piccolo tomatoes were first cultivated in 1952. They are crisp and firm, with an intense aroma and flavour.

2 SWEET VINE-RIPENED These well-known tomatoes are no less sweet for their larger size. They’re particularly juicy, and are delicious in soups, stews and sauces.
3 ORANGE RAPTURE Developed from the Japanese Oranjestar variety, these vibrant tomatoes are exclusive to Tesco. Mix with regular cherry tomatoes to add an extra splash of colour.

4 BABY PLUM These fragrant and versatile tomatoes have fewer seeds than other varieties. They have a crisp bite and a meaty texture, making them perfect for snacking on.
5 MINI SAN MARZANO The deep, aromatic flavour of mini San Marzano tomatoes makes them a traditional favourite for rich sauces. Their firm, juicy flesh means they’re great in salads too.
S TORE Although refrigerating will keep tomatoes fresh for longer, it also dulls their flavour and texture. Store at room temperature to keep them at their best – or, if you do need to chill them, remove from the fridge half an hour before eating.

EN J OY Tomatoes are incredibly versatile, and pair as well with fiery chilli as they do with strong cheeses. Simply roasting with a little olive oil will bring out their intense flavour, or try them with fragrant peach and silky mozzarella in our salad on p33.
