Crayon crafts
G ather all those crayon o dds and ends and up cycle them into something fabulous H E A R T C A RD You will need Card; wax crayons; glue gun; hairdryer
1 Fold a piece of card in half to make a card (ours is a 20cm square once folded). 2 Remove the paper wrappers from bits of crayon, then arrange the crayons on the card so they form a heart outline. When you are happy with your shape, glue the crayons into place using the glue gun. Leave to dry. 3 Cover your work surface with newspaper; put the card on top. Then, using a hairdryer on a high heat setting, direct the heat towards the crayons and away from the centre of the heart. 84

1 Make a carrot stamp by slicing a carrot across its width, then carefully carve a star, letter or other shape into the cut end using a knife. Set aside. Make ¢ ô « Âã Ûã ÁÔÛ ÛÉ ÷Éè ¨ ó a selection of seals to choose from. 2 Place your envelope on the work surface. (Don’t forget to put your card
«Â «ã Ûã Y ÁÉó ã¨ Ô Ô ô ÔÔ from a crayon, hold it at one end over the envelope and, using the gas »«£¨ã ¢è»»÷ £è« 㨠Á over the other end of the crayon, keeping a good distance between your £ Û Â ã¨ Á c¨ ô ö ô«»» Á »ã quickly and drip onto the envelope. 3 Take a carrot stamp and immediately push it into the melted crayon blob. Allow to set for up to 1 min, then remove to reveal the wax envelope seal.
