When you don’t feel worthy of happiness, you will automatically avoid or sabotage situations that could make you happy. Or, even worse, you might put yourself in situations that are more likely to have a negative impact on your life. You might do this intentionally or you might not even realize you’re doing it at all. But either way, the feelings you have about yourself will affect your decisions. If you feel you’re not worthy of being happy, then your decisions will lead you in a negative direction. In order to move your life in a positive direction, you’ll have to work through those feelings of unworthiness or low self-esteem so you can prevent them from sabotaging your happiness. This topic is a deep one, and more than I can cover in this book, but I’ll share some ideas that have helped me.

It Doesn’t Matter if You Deserve It or Not Do you deserve to be happy? Here’s my answer: it doesn’t matter.
