Charles RUTLEDGE

An offensive lineman with good footwork, Charles is hoping to emerge from a redshirt season and provide quality depth to the Golden Eagle front line...outstanding pass blocker...lining up at left tackle as the fall camp gets underway...good student who excels in the classroom. AT TECH (IN 2013): Charles redshirted his first year and worked diligently with the scout team. HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter on the offensive line and a fouryear letterman at Columbia High School...anchored the offensive line for the Eagles...was selected to play in the Dekalb County All-Star game and earned All-Dekalb County honors...an outstanding and versatile athlete, he was also a member of the basketball team that won two state championships. PERSONAL: The son of Angela Rutledge and Charles Marble...full name is Charles Xavier Rutledge...born July 3, 1995 in Atlanta, Ga.... majoring in mathematics.

Zach SHARP

Zach was enjoying another solid season in 2013 when an injury forced him out of action for the final two games...still led the team in scoring...heads into his final season projected as the team’s placekicker on field goals and PATs but will face a strong challenge from a couple of other kickers on the roster...an experienced, record-setting kicker during his Golden Eagle career...comes into the year with a streak of 86 consecutive made PAT kicks...has a strong leg with great range and constantly working to improve his strength and accuracy...through three years, he has made 22-of-36 field goals and 119-of-120 PATs. AT TECH (IN 2013): Zach kicked in the first 10 games and had a perfect season for PATs, going 27-for-27 while putting him at the top of the OVC rankings...he was also in the top five kickers in the OVC for his season-long field goal of 47 yards in the victory againt Indiana State... he made seven of his 10 field goal attempts, placing him fourth in the OVC for field goal percentage...led the team in scoring with 48 points, highlighted by a 12-point game at Hampton when he went 3-for-4 on field goals and made all three PAT kicks...was a perfect 7-for-7 against Cumberland and 5-for-5 against Indiana State, providing the winning margin in Tech’s one-point, 38-37 victory. (IN 2012): Zach handled all of the team’s placekicking duties as a sophomore while Chris Harris took over the kickoff chores...led the team in points with 64...was 6-for-11 on field goals with a long of 39 yards...was perfect in his PATs, going 46-for-46...ranked eighth in the OVC in kick scoring...tied for first in the OVC in PAT percentage...kicked a pair of field goals in the victory against Hampton (28 and 25 yards)... made three of his final four field goals including a clutch 39-yarder in the overtime victory against UT Martin...kicked from the hold of several different holders due to injuries, a factor that played a role in some of his misses. (IN 2011): Zach proved himself incredibly valuable during the Golden Eagles’ championship season, stepping in as a true freshman and seeing significant time on the field in all 11 contests...put 46-of-47 PATs through the uprights for a 97.9 PAT kicking percentage (second in the conference)...set the school single-season record with his 46 successful PATs...led the OVC in PAT attempts made...finished the season tied for fifth in the conference in scoring with 6.6 points per game...tied for third in the OVC in kicking with 6.6 points per game...went 9-for-15
