While we are sad to see Chris Noe finish his term, we are thrilled that Gary Pforzheimer will take on the role of Board President. Gary has served on our Board for a combined eight years and has already given so much to our congregation. He is known for asking the tough questions and always has a creative approach to challenges. Please join us on Thursday, June 8 for our Annual Gathering when we will install Gary as our new Board President.

On behalf of the budget and finance committee and the membership of Temple Israel, I’d like to thank Marc Rysman for his service as Temple

Israel Treasurer. For the past four years, Marc has given his time and energy to ably lead our committee. Many of us know Marc for his officer’s welcome at Friday night services, but behind the scenes, he has helped balance the wide-ranging financial needs of Temple Israel, from keeping our historic building maintained to funding our wide variety of education programs. Marc has been a great contributor at Board and Leadership

Council meetings, bringing both a budget and financial perspective as well as a strategic understanding of Temple Israel’s long-term goals. His patience and positive attitude are much appreciated. Thank you Marc! —Eric Lass ”
