Erev Shavuot
Confirmation Service
Tuesday, May 30 7:00 pm at Temple Building Join us as our 10th grader Confirmation students have a chance to lead services and be called to the Torah. This is an uplifting service that marks the anniversary of the giving of the 10 commandments to Moses and the Israelites at Mt. Sinai and celebrates the end of the grain harvest in Israel. As the Jewish people made a covenant with God on this day, so too, our young adults reaffirm their commitment to their Jewish heritage. Please join us for this special service and to honor the Confirmation students. As a community we send a hearty mazel tov to the following confirmation students: Jim DaCosta, Jessica Giordano, Anina Lawrence, Brenna Rioux.
Tikkun Leil Shavuot Tuesday, May 30 (6 Sivan) Following Shavuot/Confirmation Service Approx. 9:30 - 11:00 pm at Temple Building
Join us for our second Tikkun Leil Shavuot. Tikkun Leil Shavuot is a tradition of studying texts until dawn on the night of Shavuot. We won’t go that far, but we will have a chance to deepen our Jewish knowledge and understanding with interactive learning for an hour and a half. Please join us, and enjoy some dairy treats in honor of the Holiday.

The Crystal Room venue in Milford has been reserved for the event on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Many discussions are taking place to make this year’s gala our best yet. Ink/Toner Cartridge Recycling Don’t throw away those empty ink and toner cartridges. Drop them off in the bin at temple or at religious school and let us recycle them. We earn $ for each recycled cartridge.
TEC has a new recycling program that will earn us $$$. American Paper Recycling is a program that not only helps with our recycling efforts but also earns us money. Drop off your paper/cardboard in the recycling bin outside our temple building. Go online to learn more. Questions? Contact Adrianne.

Ideal Big Brother is energetic and mature (someone in his 30s-50s would be a good fit for Mark), living in proximity to Franklin/Holliston and open to being matched to a non-Jewish child. Do you or does someone you know have a few hours a month to make a huge difference in the life of another person? Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters (JBBBS) is in need of volunteers! Stay Connected Hebrew Rehabilitation Center (HRC) is a skilled nursing facility and licensed hospital that provides long-term care in Boston and Dedham. The Volunteer Services Department at Dedham as well as Boston is always looking for adults and students interested in giving a little of their time to our residents.
