My interest in painting and creating from other cultures also my own Samoan identity I wanted to discover the detailed work of the ancient Egyptian art works, art works from Japan as I created my own interpretation of it, I have discovered the imaginitive of fantasy work of arts something to do with nature and myself as I am more out there in creating. The facination in ancient eygptians started in East Tamaki primary school Otara to Ferguson Intermediate Otara to Mangere Intemediate school thats how long I was thinking about orientalsim. Looking at images of early life in Eygpt back then I was obsessed with there culture, stories , overpowering decorative halls, pillars, portraits of Pharoahs, Queens. What to do but to create in response as collective ideas. Most of the images are gone as they dissappeared everytime I relocated to a place of my own and some were given away for free to close friends like one girl I use to with name Alimanish I gave my work portrait of Cleopatra the Pharaoh all images that were created in gold metallic paint and pen silver and gold, copper. I requested images from the Learning Connexion archive to relocate the art works that I don’t have any more but it is really good to see my old work again. Tekori Fatuloa Friday August 15th 2014
