Dean Morris

Dean founded the charity GOSAC – Give Our Strays A Chance – when he was ten years old to raise awareness and donations for animals in need. Ten years later and GOSAC has raised over $4m in donations and supplies, saved countless lives and won many awards. He works with businesses, legislators, hospitals, the community, and the media to gain support and donations and increase awareness for animal welfare issues.

Dean helps animal rescues and regional shelters with life saving supplies, wildlife hospitals with medical and surgical items, and homeless people and struggling families with pet care packages.

Dean studies a double major in Engineering and Management at UWA and works at Stantec in Project Controls. He is a Director at the Canning Vale Community Bank and a professional associate of Rotary Perth. He flies airplanes and received a NASA scholarship to SpaceCamp USA.

Dean has been recognised widely for his achievements, receiving the RSPCA WA Youth Award and the Young Citizen of the Year.

He has been a finalist for the WA Youth Award and Channel 7 Young Achiever Awards, returning as an Executive Judge on the panel for both awards the following year.

At 18 Dean published his first book, Saving The World – One Stray At A Time and crosses our State speaking at schools and libraries about youth leadership and how everyone, no matter their age, can change the world.
