The Head: A one piece, solid carbide, 4–cutter head offers the perfect solution to the toughest drilling conditions. The 90º symmetry ensures even drilling and greatly reduces the possibility of seizing on contact with reinforcing steel. The carbide tip is embedded directly into the drill core and fused to ensure maximum bonding between the surfaces. This results in a very strong bond

The one-piece, solid carbide tip and patented reinforcing chamfering ensure low vibrations and optimum drilling performance when drilling into reinforced concrete.

and a high resistance to torsional forces. The special head geometry with a centring tip is perfect for accurate drilling giving a round holes perfect for critical fixings. Sizes from 5mm to 14mm Nemesis drills are perfectly matched with the latest generations of hammer drills including Makita’s AVT anti vibration technology.

Thanks to the optimum 4 x 90° symmetry, all four carbide cutting edges function evenly and do not seize up on hitting reinforcing steel.

Lateral support and the maximum possible area of the interface between the carbide and steel body provide the most secure bond to compensate for torsional forces.

Centring tip facilitates spot drilling with pinpoint accuracy.

The Flute: The symmetrical four-fluted spiral ensures drilling loads are evenly distributed down the length of the drill shaft. As a result, drilling combines low vibration with high efficiency which remains constant throughout the lifetime of the drill. High grade steel and special surface

The PGM seal guarantees precisely fitting anchor holes over the entire life time of the drill bit.

Four symmetrically functioning spiral ridges ensure low, uniform flute wear.

CONCRETE DRILLING Good drill bits are one of the most important parts of any tool box. The wrong bit can mean a poor finish, a damaged tool and could be potentially be dangerous. Makita offers a full selection of drill bits ensuring the right tool for the job is available, from High Speed Steel at a precise 1.5mm to massive 50mm Tungsten Tipped bits for reinforced concrete. They are available with Straight Shank; Âź hex; SDS+ and SDS Max shank. Many bits are optimised to reduce vibration and this range is expanding all the time. Makita produce high quality accessories which when used in combination with any professional power tool make an efficient and reliable solution for any job.

Performance SDS MAX Remains a cost effective choice when fast drilling is required and hole roundness and accuracy are not paramount.

MAK4 SDS MAX Premium SDS Max drill with a dynamic 4-cutter head. Symmetrical head-geometry with centring-tip for optimised results in the event of reinforcement collision. Shortened spiral windings and conical shaped dust tracks for extra fast material removal into the high-volume double flute. The MAK4 significantly raises the performance parameters of drilling speed and life expectancy. This considerably reduces the user cost per hole.

Concrete core cutter SDS MAX A one piece core cutter specialy developed for the latest generation of powerful rotary hammers, ensuring efficient drilling and superior life. Fast drilling in diameters upto 80mm with out the need to use adaptors or centering drills. Working lengths upto 900mm.

Core cutter SDS MAX/PLUS A multi-piece tool system to fit all makes of rotary hammer drills. Adaptors are available for SDS PLUS and SDS MAX with sizes from 40mm to 125mm.

Standard SDS PLUS A range of 2 cutter drills available from 4mm to 30mm. Suitable for the serious home renovator and ocasional jobs for the proffessional tradesman. A cost effective choice when rapid drilling is required.

Performance SDS PLUS This bit specialises in heat-resistance and is perfect for drilling in high-resistance materials such as Green Concrete or Engineering Brick. Suitable quality for regular proffessional use, these drills give excellent economic value, with good drilling speed and improved life expectancy.

Nemesis SDS PLUS The Nemesis SDS+ drill bits are engineered for lower vibration than standard hammer drills, reducing the risks of exposure to vibration and increasing trigger time. The specialy designed solid carbide tip makes the Nemesis drill suitable for the toughest applications.
