t is my privilege to state that Techagappe, the quarterly review of health and laboratory medicine, is now regular in publication at intervals of three months.This journal is meant for practicing doctors and technologists in the clinical laboratories. I am also pleased to report that the laboratory community has warmly welcomed the previous issues of the magazine.

In this respect, the laboratory personnel has the greatest responsibility to keep the quality in every sphere of activities."Quality Consciousness" is the principle which directs all the activities of Agappe.

The present issue of the magazine is on Gastroenterology, emphasizing the basic and clinical aspects.A few clinical studies, from the angle of patients as well as from their treating physicians, are also included.I am sure that readers will be benefited to get an update on the topic, written by senior workers in the field. I do hope that this issue of the Techagappe will give useful insights into the problems of various gastroenterological diseases.

Techagappe was started with Cardiac diseases and then, the second issue was focused on renal function tests, the third one dealt with liver function tests, the fourth issue was devoted to diabetes mellitus, the fifth one covered some aspects of cancer and the sixth one covered neurology with special emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease.
I am proud to announce that the ensuing issues of Techagappe wil l cover other important topics.Your constructive criticisms to improve the contents will be greatly appreciated. With warm personal regards,
