Teac he r
1. Photocopy a class set of the blackline on white cardboard and give one to each student. 2. Ask the students to use markers to create an interesting design on both sides of their bird. 3. Ask them to add glitter and sequins to decorate the bird. 4. Have the students cut out their bird and cut a slit in the centre. 5. Ask the students to decorate a paper square using markers, crayons or oil pastels. Then have them fanfold it and insert it through the slit on the bird to make wings. 6. Have the students bring the top edges of the wings together and staple or glue them together at the top. 7. Help the students to punch a hole in the top of the wings, thread a piece of wool through the hole, and attach it to a coat hanger. Attach several birds to each hanger.
