THE PLANT NURSERY 1. During the week the nursery planted 3456 flower punnets and 297 herb punnets. A flower punnet has 9 seedlings, a herb punnet has 4 seedlings and a fern punnet has 6 seedlings. How many seedlings were planted during the week?

2. When getting flowers ready for spring the nursery used punnets which held 4, 6 and 8 seedlings. How many seedlings were planted if 468 medium punnets were used?

3. During October the nursery sold 804 bags of bark chips, which they sell for $35 each. How much money did they make if it cost them $16 per bag?

4. On Friday morning 275 flower punnets were fertilised and 120 herb punnets were watered. During the afternoon another 82 punnets were watered and 68 punnets were fertilised. If there are 6 seedlings in each punnet, how many seedlings were watered?

5. When planting herb seedlings, punnets of 4 and 9 were used. What combination of punnets could be used if 324 seedlings were planted?
