Dedication This publication is dedicated to the more than 150,000 Aboriginal children across Canada who endured the Indian Residential School system, and to the memory of at least 6,000 children who perished in it. Our goals are to honour the survivors and their families, and to help educate Canadians about the atrocious history and ongoing legacy of residential schools. Only when we understand our shared history can we move forward together in a spirit of reconciliation.
